Oh, the hot tub is almost ready and the moon is almost full - I love warm summer evenings! Being here on the left coast, I miss fireflies!

Anyone else see the big fireworks and tall ships in New York for the Bicentennial?
I had such a crush on our paper boy. Now, the paper gets thrown out the car window and hopefully lands somewhere where you can find it.
Olympics - Mark Spitz anyone? I used to have a full-sized poster of him hanging on the back of my door. He was wearing a red, white, and blue speedo and his 7 medals around his neck and that was it. My grandmother was not pleased.

OK. I couldn't stay away.
I was down in Battery Park during the Bicentennial. So many people I ended up walking all the way uptown to the west 70s.

My mother and I went to the ticker-tape parade for the Apollo 11 astronauts - but didn't get any pictures because she was crying so hard!
I was there, too - it was incredible!
I was also at the celebrations for the Statue of Liberty. Amazing.
I was also working downtown on 9/11...

Posters - actually, mostly animal ones - but I did sneak in some Partridge family - and then when Superman came out, Christopher Reeves was EVERYWHERE!
I hate ticker tape parades..only because I work on Wall St. and whenever there's a ticker-tape parade it would take me hours to get home.
Fireflies - there's something magical about them!
Olympics - so many memories - including the beautiful opening ceremonies in Los Angeles in 1984. One of the best.
Posters - David Cassidy. Bobby Sherman. A big poster of a Peace sign - on a flourescent orange background...
