Just because:
Henery Hawk - a young chickenhawk who usually is seen looking for a chicken to eat, but doesn't know what a chicken looks like. Henery's career actually predates the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons with the 1942 cartoon The Squawkin' Hawk. What's more, Foghorn's career began as a supporting role for Henery in Walky, Talky Hawky. Due to the popularity of the rooster, Foghorn was kept as a lead character of his own. Mel Blanc supplied the voice for Henery.
Iw as so disappointed that my sea monkey's didn't walk around the fish bowl looking like the craetures on the back of the comic book. I was also disappointed that my exray specs didn't allow me to see through clothing.
I remember the snakes, the pellets you lit to get the long ash worm like thing.
a childhood treasure:
A Child's Garden of Verses...Robert Louis Stevenson
'How would you like to go up in a swing? Up in the air so blue...'
I had a window seat in my room when I was little, and I used to read that book and look at the beautiful illustrations for hours.

I was very disappointed that my secret tansporter ring didn't work. But the mood ring came in handy
I remember having some kind of a whistle ring.
It had a flat top, and if you put it to your mouth something would spin and make a whistle. It was metal, of some sort...
and puzzle rings...
(they were more 'hippie' than childhood)
Anyone remember any of these stores:
Two Guys
Great Eastern
Grants (I think it had initials in front of it, but I'm not sure)
Newberry's
Leading Brand
Kresge's (which I think became K-Mart?)
Put A Tiger In My Tank (Esso Gas)
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
YES....always shopped at 2 Guys and Great Eastern. How about John's Bargain store?

I bought my Barbie Clothes at Newberry's....
And, going back a page or two: I can't believe that there's an official Foghorn Leghorn site. LOL!

We hung those elves on our Christmas tree. One was in a red outfit and one was in green...
And our cats used to kidnap them and stash them under chairs and behind the sofa.
Games: Dominoes
Chinese checkers (with the marbles)
Tip-it and Ker-plunk! were such tests of my nerves.
How many here have built a house of cards...and remember that episode on the Brady Bunch where Marcia's bracelet knocked over they were building and she lost the bet...

O.K. Don't laugh at me, but I have a Kinney's Shoebox filled with these elves, that are still in wonderful shape, and I still put them out at Christmas. I can't help myself.
PF Flyers?

I love those Pixie Elves...I wouldn't laugh at you...I wish I still had some. That's great that you saved them and still put them out.

Beacon - oh yes, built many houses of cards, and I loved chinese checkers - for years I kept the board hanging on my wall.
And not only is there an 'official' Foghorn site - there's an entire Foghorn RING. Those WB characters are REALLY popular!
Anyone else take piano? The John Thompson series? My first recital piece was 'From a Wigwam' - the last song of the introductory book. To this day, if I want to REALLY get my mother insane, I go and play that - and she screams, right on cue

Morning All!!
We've talked about "Monoply", "Life" and "Easy Money" does anyone else remember "Pay Day"? Talk about getting you ready for real life!
Happy Tuesday!
This thread is so cool.

Remember Pay-day, mominator - but I don't think I ever played it. Maybe that's why I wasn't prepared for life
I had piano lessons, but the teacher would play more than I did ...so I quit. Besides I only had one of those small Magnavox organs to practice on and it didn't have enough keys to practice. The only song I learned to play was "Down In The Valley" which was probably the 1st song in the practice book. What does it matter now... a couple of years ago I went out and bought one of those pianos that play itself. My partner calls it my very expensive Karaoke...LOL !!!
I was also not so great at Pay Day DG.

Boobs - is this new toy an older one, or one of these new-fangled things that run by computer?
It's the new one DG...you can get CD's with full orchestrations. It's amazing. Fun when you're having a dinner party. You can even transpose to your range.

Boobs - I've seen them, and they are amazing. A little weirded out, though, by yet another example of not needing a human being to provide the action - especially an artist.
DG where were you going with that??? LOL !!!!
