morning!
I just got back from a panel discussion (I was one of the panelists) on marketing consumer electronics to women... now it's time to play!
It's funny you brought up piano lessons - I spent some time yesterday searching for a sheet music series that I loved when I was taking piano lessons. It was an 'easy play' version of alot of Bacharach, and I remember learing the Love Theme to Romeo & Juliet from it. I want to say it had something to do with Brimhall, but my search of that site came up empty. (Of course, the fact that it was 100 years ago could have something to do with it...)
What other musical instruments did everyone play?
I did a stint with the violin, then switched to the string bass (I thought it was cool to play both classical and jazz), and the guitar (still play)...and the recorder. In the early 70's everyone played the recorder, didn't they?? Mainly my instrument was (still is) 'voice'.

NYadgal - very brief affair with the clarinet. As a pianist, I found it annoying to have to play with other people, so it was quickly abandoned
But with that in mind, how frightening were the band instructors? My god, you'ld think they were planning for a battle invasion the way they drilled their 'troops'!

The marching band in my HS was intense. Was very glad I didn't participate (other than cheering them on the year they marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade...in the rain...)
LOL, BB - I played that, too!! My first guitar song was Puff the Magic Dragon.
OMG - Senior photos. My senior photo is such a nightmare!
Did any of you have senior quotes in your yearbook?
Mine was a quote/lyrics from Pippin. (And not Corner of the Sky!)

Wow - 'Classical Gas' - and 'A Fifth of Beethoven' - we had a news station that used 'Classical Gas' as their theme song.
And weren't alot of those tree-hugging photos done in VERY soft focus?

Morning Oldies but goodies
The recorder, the violin......ahhhh.....good times good times.
Remember how much of a popularity contest it was to see who could get the most signatures in their yearbooks???

2 lips in the garden
2 lips in the park
the kind of lips that NYadgal likes...
are 2 lips in the dark.
Yours until Lips sink
Boobs
(remember these???) come on who has more of them???

I'll never forget what my Mom wrote in my Grammar school book..."If anyone Loves you more than me, let them sign their name below mine" and she signed Mommy at the very bottom of the page...*eyes swell up*
