DG I wish you all could've been there with me...the energy that woman has...and she transfers it to the audience...amazing !!! You really forget how old she is.

That age is what gives her all her wisdom and beauty - we're all perfect examples of that
Glad you had a good time! Cyndi always looks like she is having a grand old time when she is performing.
You were missed so much last night as we past Eddie "whomever
Would you like some OJ with that champagne?
Oh Mom a momosa sounds FAB !!!

I'm afraid I go right for the Bloody Mary - for the celery, of course.
I prefer Virgin Mary's ... I don't like Vodka in my Tomato Juice...I know it's weird.

This is the song stuck in my head this morning..and I don't know why???
Everything is Beautiful by Ray Stevens
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red and yellow, black and white
They are precious in his sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
Chorus
Everything is beautiful in its own way
Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day
Everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven the world's gonna find a way
There is none so blind as he who will not see
We must not close our minds we must let our thoughts be free
For every hour that passes by, you know the world gets a little bit older
It's time to realize that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder
Chorus
Everything is beautiful in its own way
Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day
Ah, sing it children, everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven the world's gonna find a way
We shouldn't care about the length of his hair or the color of his skin
Don't worry about what shows from without but the love that lives within
We gonna get it all together now and everything's gonna work out fine
Just take a little time to look on the good side my friend
And straighten it out in your mind
Chorus
Everything is beautiful in its own way
Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day
Ah, sing it children, everybody's beautiful in their own way
Under God's heaven the world's gonna find a way
mmmmm waffles (drool!)

I'm posting this again, because it seems to have gotten lost in some limbo between pages:
For some reason, I woke up with this song in my head. This used to make me WEEP.
SEASONS IN THE SUN
goodbye to you my trusted friend
we've known each other since we
were nine or ten
together we've climbed hills and trees
learned of love and abc's
skinned our hearts and
skinned our knees
goodbye my friend it's hard to die
when all the birds are singing
in the sky
now that spring is in the air
pretty girls are everywhere
think of me and i'll be there
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed were
just seasons out of time
goodbye papa please pray for me
i was the black sheep of the family
you tried to teach me right from wrong
too much wine and too much song
wonder how i got along
goodbye papa it's hard to die
when all the birds are singing in the sky
now that the spring is in the air
little children everywhere
when you see them i'll be there
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the songs like the
seasons have all gone
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like
the seasons have all gone
goodbye michelle my little one
you gave me love and helped
me find the sun
and every time that i was down
you would always come around
and get my feet back on
the ground
goodbye michelle it's hard to die
when all the birds are singing in
the sky
now that the spring is in the air
with the flowers everywhere
i wish that we could both be there
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the hills that we climbed were
just seasons out of time
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone
we had joy we had fun we had
seasons in the sun
but the wine and the song like the
seasons have all gone

Hmmmm - not on mine - I only get it if I go back one, and then forward again - kind of like my therapy sessions.
I love both of those songs!! Thanks guys. I'll have to post one later on (once the coffee kicks in!)
Oh, I love Therapy and their Dirty Martini's
DG...I remember when "Seasons In The Sun" came out, I think I wore the grooves off of my 45...I still have it too. I still have all my 45's and albums... just can't part with them...they're my old friends.

We have all ours as well - they still make turntables, you know, because DJs use them - and ours gets used alot.
We still have ours as well. Sadly it is packed away in the
attic.

Many people have stated (because it's true) that there's nothing like the old album cover art. My favorite was Supertramp's Breakfast in America (also one of my favorite albums.)
My turntable still works beter than my CD player. Need a new CD player, but the turntable is still going. I still love listening to the old 45's and albums because even the scratches bring back memories, the skips too..LOL.
Me too Boobs. I love listening to Breakfast at Tiffany's on the turntable, as well as Mantavoni.
