Boobs - the concert sounds wonderful. I adore Cyndi Lauper...and wish that I had time to make one of her shows!
I'm grabbing a mimosa, also, mom. Thanks. (Although I have a long day ahead...so just one!)
Love the song lyrics that you printed in the last two pages. Both of those are classics, and filled with memories!
I still have a turntable, also. I will not part with it! There's something comforting about hearing those familiar scratch marks and muffled sounds on a record that got there from years and years of play and love!

Posted: 8/5/04 at 9:24amLove that about her. Saw her when she was opening for Cher in OKC. Women fell of the edge of the stage, never missed a note, sprang her angle and still sang four songs on the egde of the stage in the stratisphere! truly amazing. She was way better than Cher

Good morning everyone. Sounds like a great concert. I love Cyndi. I also saw her open for Cher a few ago and enjoyed her immensely. My favorite Cyndi song has always been Time After Time.
Seasons In The Sun. A couple others of the time that I hated were, Billy Don't Be A Hero and Rock The Boat.
I used to love The Stylistics. I thought their songs were so romantic.

I hated Seasons in the Sun, but I loved Afternoon Delight.
Love Will Keep Us Together was my favorite song as a kid!

I still love all the stupid songs.
Glad to hear you had a great time last night boobs. When she opened for Cher the time I saw her, a couple seats in front of us were empty. A man and a woman finally show up and take those seats. The intermission comes, and the woman turns around and starts talking to us, telling us that they were mainly there to see Cyndi. I couldn't figure out why they would show up 40 minutes late. If the person I'm going to a concert mainly to see is going to be the first one on, you can bet your sweet patootie, I'm going to allow plenty of time to get there and have my butt in that seat for the first note played.

Posted: 8/5/04 at 10:57amI saw Cyndi open twice for Cher and that's why I had to go to her own concert...knowing she would do a lot more. bdwaygirl...isn't there just something special about the Arts Center? Just brings back so many memories...I remember when they were building it and the first concert I saw there...The Pointer Sisters with Johnny Mathis. Funny thing was he was singing a new song at the time "That's the time...I feel like making love to you..."...he forgot the words like 3 times and kept starting over until finally he just gave up and pulled a Sinatra and did a do be do be do. I'll just never forget that.
