I have not been that emotionally invested in an episode is so long it was a refreshing episode. Patricia Arquette has got another Emmy headed to her mantle for it.
Can we just talk about last night's SVU for a moment?

When the episode finished I watched it again immediately. It will go down as one of the best of the series, I have no doubt.
And I was thrilled to have Arquette back in tv, if only just for one episode of this show (and not MEDIUM, one of my all time favorites that was prematurely canceled by NBC).

Terrific episode, though a bit too movie-of-the-week by the end. But Patricia Arquette was outstanding as usual. I was crushed when Medium was canceled. I think she's one of the most talented actresses working today and I'd love to see her get another Emmy. She deserved at least four for Medium alone.

I just watched it and thought Arquette was very good but agree with Matt that it was a little too movie of the week. The son saying oh mom I knew you were a prostitute for a long time, the daughter just the same. The acting far exceeded the writing.
I think it might have played better as a 2 hour episode.
