FOOD THREAD! I ate at the cheesecake factory in FLorida yesterday. Forget about the fact that the food is delicious-they have at least 40 varieties of cheesecake! I was there once before, and had the key lime. this time I decided to go more decadent.
I went to the counter to check them out. also, I wanted to see which ones had no pieces missing so that I wouldn't order those. Well, I finally settled on the white chocolate peanut butter truffle cheesecake. Of course it had a mountain of whipped cream on the side. I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN.
Good thing we don't have one of those in NYC.

I have never ordered cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory.
They have great martinis though.

Posted: 4/20/06 at 11:49pmYes, the servings are huge! I ordered the LUNCH portion of the Asian chicken salad and it was at least a foot high. DELICIOUS! My aunt had the shepherd's pie and I tasted it and loved it. But I think the memory of that particular dessert is forever etched in my memory.

Posted: 4/21/06 at 12:14amI have one like a half hour away from me on L.I. It was amazing, except I felt so sickly full from the food, it was the first and last time I felt like that in memory. I hardly ever eat until I am full, but the food was so good there. Oreo cheesecake and a pizza. Best unhealthy food ever. And in nice surroundings too!

The Cheesecake Factory has amzaing pasta. They have one at the Plaza in Kansas City and I LOVE it.
They used to sell Cheesecake Factory cheescake at the cafe in Barnes and Noble. Was that a local thing, or do they do it that way everywhere?

Thankfully don't have one close to me in MI but I always indulge when visiting my son in Chicago. It's just such a tough decision of which one to try!

My friends and I go to one of the Cheesecake Factories in LA all the time. All of their pastas are really good. And I really like their potstickers. But I have to admit that its more the cute waiters than the food that keeps us coming back.

The Godiva is amazing, but it's so rich. I can usually get three servings out of one slice. My favorite is the Tuxedo Cream. SO good...
I think my favorite dish is the Spicy Cashew Chicken. And it's a great dish to share. Like everything else they serve, it's freakin' enormous...

Jane- did you go to the Cheescake Factory at Las Olas or Sawgrass Mall?
Those 2 are close to me.
The prices for 1 piece are ridiculously expensive! Of course, people continue to buy.
I once asked how many calories 1 piece of PLAIN cheescake is. I won't ruin this thread with such a high number...

My first experience with Cheesecake Factory was when I was visiting a friend of mine in LA. Yummy.
I have only been one time in the six years that I've lived in DC, and that was very recent, too.

Posted: 4/21/06 at 8:31amThey have one in Atlanta that I've been to. Their cheesecake is to die for. I usually just get plain or plain with strawberries. I'm a creature of habit, plus I'll feel that I'm missing out on the normal tasting cheesecake if I don't get it. So I stick with that one. But it is amazing.
