I love Chili’s they have a GREAT happy hour. It's probably my favorite of those "restaurants." I dig the Molten cake but always ask them to hold the shell. Here's how to make it:

I've never been to Chili's. Am I missing anything other than lettuce wraps and chocolate cake?

Well as much as I decry high calorie processed foods the "chicken crispers" are quite possibly the best thing to happen to MSG and mechanically-separated-chicken in decades.
It's a weakness, I've made low-fat veggie versions at home but when I'm out yikes.
The drinks are the real deal though two-for-one EVERY night. The chips and salsa are terrible.
Oh and the "South Western Egg-rolls" are an inspired fusion treat.

Posted: 8/13/08 at 8:54amThe Molten Chocolate cake is AMAZING, but my personal favorite Item on there current menu is the queso dip. Simple? Yes. Can you get it pretty much anywhere else? Absolutely. But there's just something about it at Chili's... I call it they're "better than sex" dip. Sad, but true.

Chili's chips and salsa used to be really good. They had these super thin chips that were always fresh. They don't do that anymore.
I do like the Southwestern egg rolls and the crispers are yummy. I avoid Chili's. lol

Speaking of nasty fried food, how about fried twinkies, fried snicker bars, and the one I can't even figure out, fried
coca-cola.
Watch it, taz; you are speaking of food near and dear to the hearts of those of us already jonesing for the State Fair of Texas! I have eaten each one of these "foods," and, while fried Coca-Cola was a disappointment, the fried Snickers was something special. Truly.

Posted: 8/14/08 at 2:40pmHas anyone tried the mini-desserts in a shotglass that many restaurants now offer? They are perfect when you want something sweet, but not a huge expensive dessert. P.F. Chang's has them, for example.

Posted: 8/15/08 at 3:13amI wish I ate fried foods. I went to the Texas state fair for the second time in my life in October and couldn't eat nearly half the foods! I had some lame NORMAL ice cream, while my friend enjoyed FRIED ice cream!

I love Chili's chips and salsa. The chips are still fresh last I had them in Las Vegas.
I've yet to go to San Jose, so I can't report on them.
When the tomatoes got all messed up, Chili's didn't have fresh salsa, but On the Border did. I don't know why...

There used to be a Chili's in Time Square and Playbill.com had a 20% print out I would use all the time. Sadly it closed. I've seen one at JFK but that is quite a hike and you have to have a plane ticket.
There is a new one in Middle Village Queens and one in Jersey City right behind the Pavonia Mall. For all you sick of the legit food choices in NYC:)
