I am sorry if I misunderstood, but aren't you basically saying that you disbelieve the notion that the cast trusted Columbus? Just because you haven't *heard it* does not mean that there were small things they were unhappy with. But I think it's becoming ridiculous to keep drilling and drilling that they must be lying when they say they're proud of it.
You twisted my words in that you turn this into it being about you disliking my "beloved" film. And like I keep saying, to each his own. I'm sorry that you didn't like it, but that is your opinion, to which you are entitled. I'm not trying to change your mind or make you like the movie, but it's silly to me to insist what you think true when you've not information, but only speculation with which to back it up.
Yes. I've trusted people. My ability to trust is disgustingly large; and for it I've been let down. That's why I fought so hard for this movie. Very, very early on, someone involved gained my trust. And that trust conditioned me to be open and accepting to whatever we were given. I got so deep into it, that even when I was scared out of my pants that it wouldn't work, I couldn't stop -- I couldn't turn around and tell everyone that maybe I'd been wrong all along. This is
all about trusting people; and like I said, I'm sorry that you feel Columbus broke yours.
ETA -- Marquise, a similar thing happened with my mom. I asked her if anything confused her, and she said not really; but then when I began to mention to her some of the cuts that had been made, she went "yeah, you know, I didn't really get that." She got the basics, and understood everything. It was interesting to me that until brought up, she found no quibbles with those parts -- I had to push for them.
