"You should see what he can do after a little whiskey"
Jaily, most of BWW have experienced papa after a little whisky. Go read the bathroom walls at Luxia if you don't believe me.

Seriously, my cousin Becky is like, the sloppy vadge QUEEN. The stories are legion in my hometown...you'd love her, Papa. She'll let you stick anything anywhere.
And yes, Rath, I know...I WROTE most of the stuff on the walls at Luxia. (In different inks with disguised handwriting, of course...just like I do here at the office. :-P)

I don’t blame faiths or the people of them. I blame the politicians and religious leaders who use scripture as a means to attain power and justify greed. This is the very thing that spawns religious radicals and intolerance and hate.
Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, Janist (and all the rest) have a history of rewriting and reinterpreting their own scriptures to suit the people in power and the changing world. They also have a history of interpreting and condemning the scriptures of others.
Homosexuality is hardly new, and it is hardly the only problem in the world. I would point to genocide and slavery as two of the most important issues facing the world today. I really can't believe any of the above religions condone hate and genocide. If you think that "God" hates homos, go back before your "God" was worshipped. Even today you can go to the jungles of Bolivia and Peru and meet natives that practice homosexuality without fear or condemnation. If that is not far back enough, go meet the surviving bands in Africa, Indonesia or Austrailia.
If you do your research about faith and the emergence of man you will see the connections, the holes and the hypocrisy in the interpretations of the religiosity of the human condition.

I think he means that there are other things in the world that need attention to, instead of the views toward homosexuality by bigot individuals.
But . . . I could be wrong!

Religion is man made...
My homosexuality is made by God...
I trust him more.

Posted: 9/22/06 at 11:28amyes Spider, sorry I’m not nearly as articulate as I wish I were. I’m gay too, so I know homophobia. I’ve actually felt discrimination for being gay directly and yea it’s not so fun. But like I say, sadly religion is being used for things that are on a much larger scale. Gays are definitely in the groups of oppressed people in the world, there is no denying that.

"My homosexuality is made by God..."
Ah, so THAT'S what that little tiny round gold sticker on the back of my Homosexuality Kit says! I THOUGHT it was too tiny to say "Made in Taiwan".
Now I know...(and knowing is half the battle!)

"I have. But I'm not gay"
Reminds me of a T-Shirt I saw once:
"I'm not gay but my boyfriend is".

Darling, you know I would never mock you! Why, the only sort of mocking I'm capable of is of the duck variety...I am hurt and appalled that you would think I would dare mock you! *weeps inconsolably*
(Besides, with that package you've got, how could I?)

Posted: 9/22/06 at 11:42amThe USA is a secular society despite Bill O'Reilly and Pat Robertson and all the other wackos, including Tom Cruise. Let them believe in whatever religion/cult that they want but they don't have a right to impose their religious beliefs on the rest of us. If a TV show offends you, change the channel. Don't tell me what I can or can't watch. If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. If you want your houses of worship to remain untaxed, stay out of politics!
