re: Christmas + the boyfriend

Okay... So I'm going to ask, but should I ask over the phone or on line?

Something about not hearing the tone of my grandmother's voice makes me think email, but, Mrs Bucket, what would you say?

DUMPED before Christmas re: Christmas + the boyfriend posted by Captain Obvious
I was all prepared to bring my boyfriend home for the holidays and all of a sudden he dumped me like a hot potato. Actually, it was more gradual than that. He all of a sudden stopped returning my calls. Sent me a text message that said "i thnk u r gttng 2 serious 4 me n i wnt to prty w/my frnds + dnt alws wnt u taggin alng all the time + i tld u i dnt have ne more $$$$ that i cn 'loan' u since u have never paid me back 1$ so pls dnt contact me ne more, ivan"

Now I don't know what to think. I am pretty sure he will come to his senses. And I was JUST about to tell my family I was bringing him home for Christmas. Do you think I should anyway?

re: Christmas + the boyfriend

I think if you read the first paragraph in Calvin's post you'll understand way Ivan isn't bringing anyone home to meet his family.
Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

The harshness is only a reflection of the truth presented.

It baffles me that you still expect to be taken seriously. Almost as much as it baffles me that there are those who are willing to.

re: Christmas + the boyfriend

I would wait at least until after Halloween. A lot of couples break up around that time just to avoid the whole holiday thing...one last good party...as, say, Sonny and Cher?...a good lay...then, "See ya, it was fun but I gotta run..."
So no need to worry granny...is this the same boyfriend from the river boat cruise? Or did you meet this one at dental school?
PEACE.

I was curious if his roommate - Lancelot was it? I can't remember - was going to pay for both tickets to Texas.

re: Christmas + the boyfriend

Captain, I think I'd ask on the phone. I think they are less likely to say no as you are there......online it would be too easy for them to say no

Actually, in Namo's defense, that isn't harsh for him at all.

Of course you have to ask...though I agree with the others who think youwon't have to worry about it when the time comes either...

It's barely October. What's the hurry anyway?

re: Christmas + the boyfriend

ugh, I was at Robinsons-May (soon to be Macy's) last weekend, and they already had Xmas ornaments for sale.....UGH. None of this used to start til Thanksgiving, then it was after Halloween, and now it's late September. I hate it.
Soon, it'll start in March, grrrrr

I like how people are taking Namo's post seriously. I've never been dumped by a text message. He's joking. He's tryin to play physic.

Dr. Namo never jokes. He is a dedicated physic who only want to help in the healing of sick people. Both physically and mentally.

Any unknown male could be in a picture with you and be passed off as "Ivan".

re: Christmas + the boyfriend

That's right. I can just pull any guy from the street and tell him to pose for a picture so I can show strangers on BWW my "boyfriend". Right.

I think I'll post some audition notices for the part of "ivan".

If I was going to fake a boyfriend, I'd pick a hotter name than ivan. Maybe like Micah, or Greg, or just say I'm dating Kyan from Queer Eye.

Not exactly what I meant, Oblivious, but o.k. There are people who do think Ivan is a "hot" name.

I don't know if she wants to be brought into this, but I'm going to see The Anatomy of Grey at the LVA in Vegas on the 13th and Ivan and I are going to meet one of the posters, MyNameInLights because she's in the show.

Then maybe you can back off.
