I'm so excited!!! All of the Subway campaigning worked - I ate Subway at least twice a week for a bit!
If anyone listens to podcasts, Chuck Cast by Colleen & Jay is great! Def recommend to catch up on the episodes of the podcast before the new season starts!
I've never seen this show but ever since I saw Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel I've been wanting to. Especially since Smallville's Kristin Kreuk is joining the cast

o_O For real, Eris? I guess I never imagined people coming into Chuck that way. But yay, new viewer! Now we just need a couple million more and we'll be golden.
If you want to have some idea of what's going on in the show, the pilot and the last few episodes on S2 are up on Hulu, and a chunk of S1 is up at thewb.com. But everyone is saying that the S3 premiere is newbie-friendly, so there's no rush. :)
Anyway, I'm practically climbing the walls waiting for Chuck to come back. It's just...42 minutes of intensely concentrated fun, every week, made by people whose driving philosophy is How can we make this more awesome? I love it.
Zachary Levi was so cute in Squeakuel lol. I also realized afterward he was on a show I used to watch called Less than Perfect.
btw...he's the prince in Disney's Rapunzel

also... CHUCK season 2 is going to have a marathon on Syfy starting Thursday! check it out! you actually don't have to see season 1 to get what's going on... the writer's strike caused a huge gap in between so the first season was a recap...
finished watching the first four episodes on blu ray... this show is just perfectly written, cast, EVERYTHING!
Yeah, I guess if anyone's adorableness could overcome the sight of CGI rodents, it would be his. I honestly can't decide if I'm attracted to him or just want to ruffle his hair and give him a hug.
Soooo...what's everyone hoping for next season? Any speculation?
Agreed. This is a show that should have braod appeal and I'm not sure that the network is promoting it enough. I worry about the season losing momentum in February when it (and everything else) takes a break for the Olympics.

I thought Squeakuel was very well done for what it was.

I actually disagree. NBC is damn incompetent sometimes, but they're putting everything they have into making Chuck a success. (Well, everything except a good timeslot, but that's another story.) I've been seeing Chuck commercials every time I watch something on the channel, an ad on the back of EW, a full-length article and interview with the showrunner in the New York Times, and an extensive attempt to reach out to Internet geeks, not that the show needed much help with that last one.
Best of all, the ads I've seen are actually pretty good. Or maybe I'm losing all perspective and will pretty much say that about anything Chuck-related at this point. :)
Then you have a better eye than I do, Plum and I'm glad to hear it. Hopefully, the public eye is catching the ads as well. I somehow missed most of them, but's ok because I'm sold already.
A note: Don't read the media reviews of the show. At least not most of them - Mo Ryan and Alan Sepinwall are safe, describing the upcoming episodes beautifully without being spoilery, but other MSM reviewers give away a detail here and a detail there and it's really annoying.
Tonight's episode actually felt like an episode of the Chuck I love, which was a massive relief. I don't know what kind of soap opera they were playing on Sunday, but I want no part in it. I hope that new viewers didn't get turned completely off by the mediocre premiere and stuck around until "Angel of Death".
I couldn't agree more. Sunday night's premiere was a true WTF that lasted 2 hours. I kept thinking that if I were seeing this show for the first time, there wouldn't be a second time. It was really flat. Monday night's episode was a relief.
There won't be any Anna for at least the first 13 episodes. She and Emmett were victims of budget cuts. That's why there was no Buy More in last week's episode, as well, but that was covered up very well. At least NBC is now so pathetic that Chuck's not-quite-good numbers look...well, awesome.
