I would be shocked if they had another season. I channel hopped and played on the computer each night it was on. I am curious what the ratings were and what they would have been without the strike. If they do it again, they must get a new host and need better arrangements/song selections, and lose the sob stories.

I don't watch reality or competition shows, but this one had me. I was really expecting LaBelle to win, but I thought Lachey was the better choir vocally.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Thanks for all of your support. I am completely perplexed as to why the other thread got so ugly. I wasn't shocked about Patti not winning because it was pretty much "expected". Maybe NBC wanted an element of surprise for the water cooler talk. At least Lachey's choir did a good job. In any case, it was the charities that really won this one. mom

I kept getting interrupted during the show. Maria kept saying there would be a big surprise for the choirs. What was it?

No problem mom - I don't get it either. I am sorry that some people were rude to you. There really was no reason for it. That thread ended up being a mean gripe about which thread is better and who is right or wrong vs actually covering the topic of the show. Unfortunately I am learning more and more some people on here just like to pick a fight and talk about nothing.

Thanks sesot- I get that impression too. Maybe it's the stress of the holidays. I may be opinionated (that's why I post on a discussion board)- but I have never been rude to anyone. If I start a thread and find out someone else did on another board, I will immediatley apologize. I just want to discuss the topic at hand. It's not about which thread is better, I just enjoy lively conversation. Jane and I were just trying to be helpful. I thought I was being pretty nice about the whole thing and even posted on the other thread about the topic. Then it turned ugly- oh well. At least I am a very forgiving person. Have a wonderful holiday! mom

you were very nice about it, Mom. I didn't care to be nice after it got ridiculous. These things happen on message boards, so we just move on!

Mom, General Electric (I think) donated $50k to the charities of each of the bottom four choirs.

Thanks JerseyGirl. That was really nice that each choir got a donation. They all worked so hard! There were a lot of great "sangers" in those choirs- very impressed. Hope you and Sara have a wonderful holiday! mom

I tivo'd it, so I'll run through it today.
Frankly, the only reason I watched was to see Patti sing SOTR. She was brilliant.
Maybe I should host next time.

Diva- I bet you would look GREAT in those little dresses Maria was wearing! Patti definitely was the class act with the classiest song choices. Have a wonderful holiday! mom
