I guess I missed the announcement that Cher is doing another series of concerts next year? So far, she is only doing Las Vegas and 6 shows in March in Washington DC.

I would think this would be a pretty hot ticket? I've never been to National Harbor in DC. Is it a large arena or theater? Tickets range from $300 to $900 (yikes), but I guess it will be a "spectacle" and her last time.

Steve, Cher was all over the tv last week promoting this. Her Vegas shows are a residency. They made it seem like Washington was going to be like that also. But you would know better. Since I just went to Vegas in June and wouldn't fly to DC for this, I have no interest to look into it further. Surprised on the prices though. That maybe the presell package prices. Can't see them charging that much for all seats. Her last tour, which was in 2014, I paid $100 and was on the 20th row of the floor. (That was the original price no discount).

Yeah, I didn't want to say it. Even the last tour to promote Closer to the Truth, included only 4 songs from the cd. The rest was same old same old. Cher has had so many hits that she could easily change up the setlists. Instead, we get the same songs.

You're right, but I wouldn't fault her too much for that. She knows she's a "legacy artist", and gives the people what they want. It would be nice to hear some of the more obscure stuff, but at the same time, her audiences always go away happy that all boxes have checked.

Just once, I would have loved to hear "Save Up All Your Tears" during one of her shows. She did include "After All" during the Believe tour. Which is one of my favorites.

Save Up All Your Tears (live) was included as an extra on the Farewell Tour DVD, but I don't think it was a part of the regular show.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone's opinion but there are few "multi-generational" stars like Cher, and maybe younger people have never seen her or just know of older songs from video or "Classic" recordings, or have never been to Las Vegas. She may be "turning back time" to get more fans.

Steve, by all means, if this will be your first exposure to a live Cher event, it is indeed a blast. You will enjoy the song selections and the numerous costume changes. The crowd... gay, straight women, diva worshipers and the remaining all blend together to have a fun time. You can definitely be yourself at a Cher concert. I was just saying for someone like me, who has attended 4 Cher tours, change up the setlist some. There are other hits she can easily do which will still keep the newbies coming but also invite a reason for veterans to check her out again. If you do get to see her, please report back of the experience. My favorite moment of the last tour (Dressed To Kill) was dancing quite close with Cyndi Lauper during Sex is in the Heel and disappointing a group of five straight women who had earlier thought I could be boyfriend material for one of them.

Cher never disappoints. I've seen all of her tours since the 80s when I was a teen-some several times. I got my Vegas tickets already. She will put on a great show. I got great seats for $200. I'm very excited. You'll always be entertained. She is the ultimate Vegas performer.

"Classic" Cher?!?! Will she only be performing songs from 1965-1975?
