ok, so far...
Maxie was born in 1990, so she should be about 16. She's at least a couple years older on the show. Not too dramatic of a change.
#226re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 7/16/06 at 5:39pmShe's 16 or 17 on the show. Still in high school. You know if she were 18 she'd be living on her own!

Posted: 7/16/06 at 5:40pmLucky was born in 1985, so he should only be 21, but I'd say his character is more like 25 on the show.

And Greg Vaughan looks 30.
I'm so not a fan.

ah, i think Greg is quite attractive. But nothing compares to Jonathan Jackson, the original Lucky.
Dillon was born in 1992 so he should only be 14, and he's already in college on the show.

Posted: 7/16/06 at 5:52pmOk, finally I found Lulu! She was born towards the end of 1994. So she'd almost be 12 now. And she's 16 or so on the show.

Oh yeah, Dillon was definitely SORASed.
Oh, Jonathan Jackson...come back little Johnny...
How old should Georgie, Maxie, and Nic be?

well Maxie should be 16, but she's already graduated high school, because Georgie is a senior on the show.
Nik is a little older than Lucky because she conceived him when the Cassadines had her, before she had Lucky.
Not sure about Georgie. I gave up on looking.
It was on ABC.com GH recaps. I made it to 1994 and got tired of looking.
and oh yes, I miss Jonathan. I want to see his band, Enation, play sometime. I have their CD, good stuff.

Yes, Maxie is in college.
I haven't heard Jackson's band - glad to hear they're good, I hope he has great success with it. I'd love to see him continue with an acting career. Did you ever see that MOW, Trapped in a Purple Haze? He's so talented.

speaking of ages...
did you realize that stuart damon who plays alan quartermaine will be 70 in february?!?
if that is the case, how old is edward q. supposed to be? 90-95?
ironically, the "new" actor who plays edward (who i think looks totally wrong for the part - no one can replace david lewis) is the same age as stuart damon. in fact, jed allan is one month YOUNGER!

Jed Allen was ridiculously miscast. David Lewis was perfect, I definitely miss him.
Remember when Tracy wouldn't give him his heart medication? God, that was great.
Stuart Damon looks fantastic. I can't believe he's almost 70.

John Ingle is back as Edward, thank God. Though he doesn't appear on screen very much. Did NOT like the other guy. I agree, he didn't look the part. I was very sad that he was playing Edward when Lila died. I didnt' feel sorry for his character because he just wasn't Edward. Ingle would have been great in those scenes.
Is Damon really almost 70? He looks good!
Rath- I think Enation does pretty well in their area. They're based in Washington and tour the West Coast a bit. I'd love to see them live.
I still have Purple Haze on my TiVo. I saw it when it first came out and was really impressed. Great acting. when he was going through withdrawal and all that... wow... tidbit: during the scene of his sister's birthday he gives her a CD. It's Scarlet Road "God Candy" which was his album from an earlier band. I was excited when I saw that because I have that CD, too.
Apparently he was recently in Venom, some scary movie that I never heard much about.

"I was very sad that he was playing Edward when Lila died."
Yeah, that was a crappy bit of timing.

so john ingle is back at edward?
so that means he is back to playing edward quartermaine #2 on GH, and according to imdb playing mickey horton #3 on days of our lives.
the jed allen guy, who i recognize from other soaps, just looked so wrong for the role. i never saw his acting but he's not the right type.
even john ingle looks too cuddly/grandfatherly to me.

Ingle looks grandfatherly but he is a good enough actor that you get past that immediately.
As far as DOTL, I believe there was some contract issue with him, and he was offered DOTL, took it, and then GH came back after him.

of course, Edward IS a grandfather afterall
but even still, I think he pulls off the character quite well. But like I said, I never saw the first one.
as far as contracts, did you hear how awful they were to Anna Lee? They kept minimizing Lila's part. I heard there was a lot of animosity (I think that's the right word) between her and ABC. At least when she died they did the right thing by giving it screen time.

Anna Lee was taken off contract and made recurring about a year before her death. Her son claimed that the stress hastened her passing.
They did an incredibly beautiful job with the two-day tribute they gave her. I cried my eyes out.
#244re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 7/16/06 at 6:54pmrealistically though, lila could only roll over so many people in a given year, so becoming a recurring character was not all that bad was it?!?
PED
#245re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 7/16/06 at 6:56pmWell, she hadn't had much screen time for the past good number of years anyway, so they had really been quite charitable for keeping her on contract as long as they had.
#246re: Classic General Hospital
Posted: 7/16/06 at 6:59pmtrue. so is edward recurring also? can GH exist without an "edward" ?
