That's what started the whole Luke/Laura on the run storyline, looking for clues to get Mr. Smith sent away. It was actually a statue, I think. Remember they spent a "magical" night in Wyndham's Dept. Store, ended up in Beecher's Corners and became friends with the handyman or was he a stable boy, Hutch (played by Rick Moses), who was really working for Frank Smith. I think he planned to double cross Frank.

i think i started watching the show just before all of this. as i remember some of the elements of the story but not all.

and, girly, is sounds like you should write a GH history text.

HA! HA! It's already been done. At least up until 1996. They should do from 1996 to the present. I remember a bunch of stuff, and then other tidbits are there, but hazy. I think I will definitely get the book out this weekend.

I was going through yesterday's paper and saw this little ad that says:

Come Join Jackie Zeman (Bobbie Spencer) for Dinner & Autographs at Gianni's Pizzeria & Restaurant in Matawan, NJ today (July 15) from 6-10 PM. $25 for Autographs.

I guess they're expecting a large turn out. You have to call for reservations. $25, though!!

This place is about 10-15 minutes from me. Too bad it's not Patrick or Jax. I'd be there in a heartbeat!

It's just so random. I mean, GH is a CA based soap. Why GH and why Jackie? Maybe she knows the owners.

Alot of the NY soap stars come to the flea market in East Brunswick, but that makes sense geographically speaking.

Her bio has her listed as being born in Englewood. I guess she could've lived down here at some point, or has relatives in the area.

Perhaps the doctor chicks should all move in there - Courtney's loft doesn't make any sense - remember when she had that foster kid and he was sleeping on the couch because there was only one bedroom?

ah, what a great thread. Sadly, I've only been watching GH for about 8 years, though.

mmm, Patrick! I tried so hard to get someone to work for me so I could go to the Indy 500 Fun in the Sun. Jason and Greg (Patrick and Lucky) were there. It was free and only 3 or 4 hours away from me. Soooo worth it. I'm very sad I had to miss it.

I know it's not CLASSIC classic GH, but what about the Robin/Stone storyline? My mom watched the ABC soaps religiously and I walked into the room the day Stone died. Without a clue who the characters were I sat and cried and cried anyway.

Oh and the Nurses' Ball... what happened to them?! Loved 'em.

blue, the Patrick now is Noah's son. I posted his pic a couple pages back.

Laura is in an institution. She had a breakdown after killing Rick. She's coming back in the October/November timeframe for Luke and Laura's 25th Wedding Anniversary.

Kids? You're talking about a grown, married man and a headstrong 17/18 year old!!

On another note, Rick Springfield will be performing at the Red Bank Riverfest on July 27. Unfortunately it starts at 6:00, so there's no way I'd get there from work in time.

And yeah, Lesley already had to dump LuLu with Luke as she's too much for her to handle. Which means we'll never see Lesley again.

Heh. Don't think that thought hasn't crossed my mind! I'll have to wait and see how that week is going workwise. I would like to see him again. I saw him at the Arts Center back in his heyday. I also saw Jack Wagner there. Fun concerts!!

Oops! I had forgotten that unlike many other soaps, the GH kids tend to age naturally (in the world of daytime TV anyway). Robin, Laura, BJ...all grew up on camera.

not all quite naturally however. They aged Lulu about 10 years all of a sudden. Georgie (and Maxie, too, I think, Felicia's daughters) aged from little kids to teens pretty quick. They did this because they needed a new crop of teenagers now that Lucky, Elizabeth, Emily, and Nikolas are adults.

And yeah, I was talking about Dr. Patrick Drake. He's in a "relationship" with Robin, but they won't admit how they really feel. Soap opera drama and all that.

I'm really excited about Laura coming back. I wonder how long she is staying and in what state she'll be in. Right now she's catatonic. Are they going to have a miraculous recovery?

They didn't age Lulu rapidly. She was 7 for about 3 years, then she disappeared for a few years. It's just about right that she's 17 now.

But unnatural in aging to say the least- to keep her at one age for more than one year!

And really? It just seemed like out of the blue she was a teenager when she should've only been 12 or so.

ok, so far...

Maxie was born in 1990, so she should be about 16. She's at least a couple years older on the show. Not too dramatic of a change.
