Yep, only ended up missing Thursday's - watched Friday's yesterday morning on the 9a.m. Soapnet showing right before I left for brunch.
Jane Elliot was brilliant yesterday. That scene with Monica where she catches herself one millisecond before the tears would have fallen - that's ACTING.

Yeah, the AJ thing was very sad. You know they'll have Jason say goodbye. I wish they could get Amber back, just for one scene!!
Jane Elliot's final scene with him will be absolutely stunning. No question.

Ric is an ass. He should've been in the explosion and should've been the one PC resident to actually die in there.
Blue, I hope you're not just figuring out the PC Police suck. How many hostage situations have you seen on the news where the average common resident can just walk about freely amongst the SWAT team, coming and going as they please?
Jason shows some emotion at times. I believe the brain damaged part of him hinders him in that respect.

Wow! Jason proposing was just RIDICULOUS. If Sam finds out she shouldn't take it out on Elizabeth. She should walk the f-ck away from Jason! How much can he really love her if he did that? There's a big difference between taking financial responsibility for your child and wanting to be an active parent...I think Sam would understand that (even if she was devastated to learn about Jason being the father), but I know that I, personally, would never forgive Jason for willing to just walk away from me and MARRY someone else! Crazy.
Best scene came at the end:
"Hang on baby, daddy's got you!" I teared up. Oh, Luke! You are just the best.

Oh like Sam ever does what she SHOULD do when it comes to Jason. She's his lapdog.
I felt for Luke when he was first screaming for Lulu, then I remembered he barely ever paid attention to her before, so I got over it.

Posted: 2/21/07 at 8:42amI just liked that they let him be the hero, like he deserves to be. I was angry when Mac and Ric had him (probably illegally) chained to the pipe. They may as well have handed him his balls in a jar. Luke lives to save the day! And he does it better than anyone.

A better mother to her than she is to Dillon!
It's funny that my favorite characters--Luke, Laura, Anna, Robert, Frisco, Felicia, Tracy--are pretty much half-assed/absentee parents! I can't really blame Laura though. You get a pass for being catatonic.

I do believe Spinelli is the most annoying character on any show EVER.
God, I want to throw hard things at the TV whenever he opens his stupid mouth.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 10:29amI don't think she would date him. Honestly, she's entirely too intelligent to sit through his babble for more than a few minutes at a time.

As if we needed more proof that Skye is a selfish bitch...her visit with Alan yesterday. To paraphrase:
Emily: "Okay, why don't you go in but just be careful that you're calm and don't say anything that could upset him."
Skye: "Oh Alan! This is all my fault! I cared more about protecting Alcazar than everyone else and I did nothing to stop it!"
He seemed ok, but he may NOT have been, and that's the point. All Skye cared about was Skye and clearing her conscience because it made HER feel better. I don't doubt she loves Alan, but she's so f-cking selfish it's beyond belief.

I blame Emily for that. WTF was she thinking? Monica said NO, Tracy said NO, and little p***y Emily is like, oh, okay, Skye, go ahead on in!
I hate her.

That's true, too. Wasn't Amber's Emily spunkier? That's what I remember. This Emily is so virginal and pure and sickeningly boring.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 11:07amOMG yes. Amber Tamblyn's Emily had real personality and spark and fire. The change reminds me of when Sarah Chalke took over from Lecy Goransen on Roseanne - that character lost all her spark as well.

Hated the fake Becky! Darlene was the one that always stood out, though. Sara Gilbert did an amazing job with that character.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 11:15amGood, I'm glad you get the comparison between Emily and Becky. Sorry you never saw Amber as a teenager. She was amazing. I never understood why she didn't have a Daytime Emmy nom. Losers.

Posted: 2/22/07 at 11:19amIt took them two years to replace Amber, and this is the best they could do? All Natalia has is looks. Amber was never a beauty, certainly not in the soap opera world, but to me, that proved how much she deserved to be there. I'm sure she had to be three times as good as everyone else. Natalia is stunning to look at, but my God, she's the WORST actress. She should have been a model.

She's very pretty. Sometimes I get her confused with Elizabeth. They're boring and interchangeable with their long layered hair and poutiness.
How is it that Elizabeth's hair and lip gloss remained perfect duuring the hostage situation?
