Best wishes to Canada.
I think it's high time people starting treating this climate crisis like the pressing emergency it is. Governments too, obviously. Life as normal can not continue. Sacrifices need to be made, for our own sake. We are too good at spoiling ourselves, too accustomed to the privilege of "living our best lives" with no regard or consideration for the planet. More importantly, for the people who live here.

"Politicians are doing almost nothing about climate change. The World just saw it's hottest 7-day stretch in history. But they sit idle and do nothing. The World will be a boiling pot in 100 years but majority of us will be gone. Does anyone actually think about future generations? Their grandkids?"
No they don't.

The UN agrees with me, it seems. Please listen to what you yourself endorse, HG. Thank you.
Be mindful of flying
A long-haul flight, for example New York City to Tokyo one-way, is on average almost 2 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Remember, globally, the average annual carbon footprint per individual is 5.9 tons! Flying has a significant impact on our planet because planes are heavy and their engines require a lot of fuel to power. Planes burn fossil fuels to get their energy and produce astronomical amounts of emissions as a result. Even medium- and short-haul flights cumulatively have a large impact to the tune of 0.2 to 1.5 tons per trip. Alternative methods of transportation such as train or bus can be a planet-friendly option. If you’re travelling for business, planning ahead and reducing the number of trips needed by taking a single longer trip can help eliminate the number of flights needed. For a personal vacation, what destinations are accessible via train, bus, or a shorter car drive.

UK government shamefully reneging on their Net Zero promises today. Awful news. King Charles III being an environmentalist, will he do the decent thing and not sign off on this? Time to find out if there is any point to the monarchy at all.
