TheatreDiva made me LOL.
The fact that any sexuality would be interested in Clive is beyond me. He's the Arthur Laurents of the pop world.
Kiss his ring and he adores you. Question him and you are vilified to everyone.
Douche.
Whitney was in the closet?
she got married to a man, that is one way to stay in the closet, no?
Not if you're a straight woman.
But I know that she wasn't a straight woman.

Gay rumors swirled around Whitney for years. Even way back in the Stone Age pre-internet days, there was a rumor that her best friend Robyn (who was kind of phased out over the years) was really her lover.
Not 100% rumors. Back when she lived in NJ (it might have been Iselin), her backyard was separated from my cousin's by a chain link fence. do the math. Maybe she went straight later in life, though.
I'm not disputing anything you've said, Jane - you may have known she was gay, but I sure didn't, and this is the first I'm hearing it. I was just genuinely asking.
I thought I gave a genuine answer. Sorry.
Y'did, and thanks. Illuminating.
Sandra Bernhard has gone on record saying that Whitney was gay or at least bisexual and in a relationship with Robyn. Sandra spent time with Whitney and Robyn and said they were clearly a couple.
Clive Davis is old, ugly and filled w poison. I hope his BF is stockpiling the loot to make the reptilian touch of that wizened Orc tolerably compensated.
Oh, then there was the rumored Whitney, Jodie Foster, Kelly McGillis love triangle and b@tch slap. The good old days before the Internet and TMZ.
