What a cool video, Erika! I love it! That costume change made my head hurt, though (due to me trying to figure out how it happens- unless it's a different person (though I'm sure you're not allowed to tell me
))
Your cackle is perfection, Ms. Erika.
The show looks like so much fun, bravo!
That video is awesome. That theres some badass sound, lighting, costume changing, and cackleness. The show must be amazing. Snow White is my favorite Disney movie ever.
Wow - really cool! How do you DO that costume change???

Hi, guys...exhausted, so forgive the brevity of the reply...
I'm really not supposed to tell you how it's done, but here's a hint...you ain't heard a great hag cackle til you've heard my hag cackle...
Glad everyone's enjoying the clip!
I think it's two different people. Erika mentioned in a different related thread that sometimes she plays the Evil Queen and sometimes she plays the Hag, but that she enjoyed playing the latter better. I hope I didn't disillusion anyone, or give away some big secret. (I don't want the feds coming to my house at midnight and carting me away.)

After watching those two magicians on America's Got Talent change costumes, anything is possible. But, either way I loved the video!

ClumsyDude15 and mateo: I'm actually a professional singer. Got my first recording gig (as a session singer) at age 12. I'm on numerous CD's, including 5 releases with my band, Velvet Chain. =) As for playing Velma, I actually look super young in person, and have been told on several occasions by casting folks that I "fall between the cracks" for Hairspray. (And for Mamma Mia, as well.) Too young for the adult roles, too old for the kids. If the show's still running in 5 or 10 years, maybe...
hehe yay! I'll be looking out for your name!

i always thought that first shot of Velma Von Tussle in the original HAIRSPRAY movie was a reference to The Queen, the way she parts the curtains & glares out imperiously!
hahaha youre so right norn!
Erika, did you get my PM?
