Somebody has seen the movie "Connie & Carla"? I saw the film tonight and I liked very much all the musical references and the joke with the "Hairspray" tickets on Broadway with the mobster.

The movie was a lot of fun. It would be nice to see Toni back on Broadway. She has a beautiful voice!
Maybe the musical version of the movie on stage?... hehehe...

I did get a kick out of this movie. Not to admit that I'm in LOVE with David DUchovony. I seriously am just waiting for him to break up with Tea Leoni and run away with me.

Thats like when I saw Moulin Rouge in St. Louis. When I saw it in NYC (the first time) everyone in the audience was totally enjoying it and applauding and things. When I saw for a 2nd time in St. Louis no one reacted to anything at all. My best friend and I were laughing and having a great time and people were just staring at us. Stupid midwest...
We were only three people at the theatre... and tonight was the opening of the movie in my country, sad but true.

man, I saw that movie on my birthday back in April!
Nia Vardalos is so cute :)
I think us music theatre geeks are the only ones who will appreciate a bar full of gay guys belting out Don't Cry for Me Argentina and singalong South Pacific, but I was in heaven!
Yes, thought the movie was tons of fun and very under-rated. I concede it was a bit of Victor/Victoria meets Sister Act, but the gals sang amazingly for sure.
I thought exactly the same!
When the gangsters enter on stage remembered to me to KISS ME KATE.
I laughed a lot with this movie.
specially with the "don't cry for me argentina" number, I've been laughing for minutes with that!

I still say "gaymen" instead of Amen.
My friend likes to snap her fingers and say "Honey! Martha Stewart's prison collection!"
Good movie!
AND THIS IS MY 200th Post! I'm not a stand-by anymore!
Nia was incredible. She actually reminds me of Kathy Najimy.
Two incredible women.

I thought the show was great. Does Stephen Spinella play anything other than gay characters?
they kicked it out theaters around here before i had a chance to go see it. Some people have no taste...
