Anyway, on topic, I think nia's exactly right. The show doesn't seem to be too into the crossing of pop and musical theatre.

In his profile on idolonfox.com, he says that his lucky charm is the necklace he wore in RENT so I highly doubt he's ashamed.

Right, robyn, I was just going to say that we shouldn't be taking the word of a newspaper writer on whether Constantine wants his affiliation known or not. And I've never seen him perform in either Rent or AI (gag), so have no axe to grind regarding him.
