Brave NEw World...stupid summer reading assignment
For fun: Katherine by Anya Seton.
For school: The Count of Monte Cristo.
Into bio's lately. Mostly of the political and celebrity kind. But I also love all the Ann Rice stuff. Right now I just started Lauren Bacall's " By Myself And Then Some" . I had read the "By Myself" part when it first came out years ago.. ( I was in elementary school... Oy vey what a closet case).
Sharon Wheatley's book. I like it so far. Quite entertaining and far more candid than I'd expected!

Without going to the link, should we all know what book Sharon Wheatley wrote?
perks of being a wallflower
White Teeth by Zadie Smith
She is an AMAZING author. She just gets into her characters' psyches so well... it's incredible. I can't wait to read her new book.
Ooh, I want to read both "Running with Scissors" and "The Devil Wears Prada"....now I want to read them more after seeing such good recs on here! I HAD wanted to read "A Million Little Pieces" until everything 'went down' earlier this year. As a writer myself, I have no respect for someone like that.
For Fun: "Four Blondes" by Candece Bushnell
For Adv. English exam: Re-reading parts and segments from "Much Ado About Nothing," "Emma" by Jane Austen, and "1984" by George Orwell.

John - Cynthia Lennon.
His cruelty and her bitterness makes for an intriguing read. I loved her first book, A Twist Of Lennon. A must for Beatle fans...

about 23 left to go in Catcher in the Rye. great book.
Size 12 Is Not Fat by Meg Cabot
It was much better than I thought it would be, based on the title (which is mentioned only in passing, not the focus of the book).
Still in the midst of THE POPE'S ARMY, but I took a momentary break to re-read a favorite from childhood, THE GREAT BRAIN. I was surprised how many lessons about tolerance I learned from that book ...
