This is the video that turned me into a diehard Cyndi fan. This is my favorite performance of ALL time--Broadway, rock, dance, etc.

This is Cyndi at her best. The note she hits towards the end--my GOD, I STILL cannot get over it, even after having watched this every day for the past 2 months (many times more than once a day).

Some people don't like it, I think it's absolutely amazing.

Cyndi is the ultimate rockstar to me in this video. She is such a badass!

Back then we thought she'd be bigger than Madonna, because she was obviously more talented.

I saw her in concert in a Connecticutt casino many years ago, and she was absolutely amazing. Her a capella version of True Colors is one of the single best live performances I've ever heard.

I saw her open for Cher three times. By the third show I was looking more forward to Cyndi than I was Cher. (And I am a diehard Cher fan.)

Absolutely, PJ. And in an ideal world, she would have been.

What happened? I like Cyndi's music WAY more than I like Madonna's.

I think Cyndi is way more exciting than Madonna could ever even hope to be.

I love Madonna, but Cyndi has more talent in her little finger than Madonna has in her entire well-toned body.

I'm in love with her The Body Acoustic album. It made me hear some of her songs in ways I'd never thought of before.

Hey, you can't just compare her to Madonna (although I realize that she was her contemporary in the 1980's and everyone was comparing them back then). She simply is one of the greatest and original talents of the last 30 years. Period. Thanks for reminding us of that Parks.

I listened to The Body Acoustic on my way to class today... it's pretty fierce. I'd forgotten how much I loved "All Through The Night," which somehow works with... Shaggy.

If we're sharing the Cyndi tracks that mean the most to us, I have to submit her performance of 'Carey' at the Joni Mitchell tribute concert at the Beacon Theater in 2001.

I was there, and what you don't get from the video is how the place **exploded** after her performance.

What WE didn't get--but you do get in the video--is how much Joni is loving Cyndi.

A consummate musician and performer. Extraordinary.
Carey

Thank you Parks, this was the first concert I ever bought on VHS, haven't watched it in years and forgot how fabulous and manic she is.

I loved the little travelogue bits she did throught the whole video - it was great

I saw her at Queens College two nights ago for the 30th Anniversary celebration of the She's So Unusual album. She was funny, engaging and still a brilliant performer at sixty. And the voice was to die for. Cyndi still f-cking rocks.
