Posted: 3/5/08 at 3:31pmOH PLEASE! David COOK? He makes Pamela Anderson's breasts look real! He says his Music Influences are "Our Lady Peace" and he sings HAPPY TOGETHER? PLEASE! That is so phony! Obviously, he's playing to the judges with that crap! And the way he looks at the camera like it's a person! Did you see the way he held up ONE finger when Ryan said the phone number to call to vote for him? OBVIOUSLY he thinks he's way too good for American Idol! And I work on show that shares tech people with AI and EVERYONE says he's a liar and a fake and he's very very gassy. I'd never vote for him. He's FAKE!

WHO CARES IF HE IS A PHONY (David A.)-If he is, he's damn good at it. This is a game, and he sure knows how to play it. Good for him! I hope he parlays it right to the top!

Posted: 3/5/08 at 3:53pmHe's okay. His breathing drives me to distraction, so I can never really enjoy his performances. That, and he's rather dull to watch. That's okay, though. I prefer a voice to a performance. But they're going to have to filter out those breaths on the CD, for me.

Firstly, I like Archuleta. He's my current favorite. Is he perfect?, no. But he's young, there's no denying there's genuine talent there and I think that his full bodied "entertainer" will emerge with time.
I think David seems like a sweet, somewhat shy and/or awkward, teenager, who likes singing. Perhaps he is touched by such an overwhelming show of support for his performances. Yes, he did Star Search and a few local morning talk shows - how many peoole saw those? This is American Idol. TV's #1 show. He is being praised, cheered for, hailed as the new king...that's gotta be wild for the kid.
Perhaps, he is usually an outsider in school, thought of by his peers as "that werd singing kid who is always in talent shows" and "thinks he's a big deal b/c he was on Star Search." To suddenly feel this accepted may be overwhelming, intoxicating, dumbfounding.
That's my take. (I've rambled on a littletoo much.)

Posted: 3/5/08 at 3:57pmOk, So I ADORE him. He's absolutely precious. He seems so humble and personable. His voice is unique and he's only 17 for goodness sake! Compared to the others in the competition, I would definitely say he's in the top 3. Who can disagree with that?
