American Idol second place finisher David Archuleta debuts at #2 this week on the Billboard singles chart- the strongest debut in a year and a half. You might remember the hoopla when David Cook debut single debuted at #3 then promptly dropped like a stone earlier this year.
Ah well, Mr. Cook. There's always Broadway. But does he look young enough for Grease? I guess he could play Wilbur Turnblad in a pinch.

Don't count your chickens yet. Look for a huge drop for Archuleta this week. And Cooks single sustained longer and is not even part of his debut album. Boy.. one can sure put a negative spin on anything if they like.

Posted: 8/25/08 at 1:54pmCooks album is months away from being released. So one wouldn't be able to declare anything next week. The single he had out was just part of the Idol machine. I guess I also can't be bias. Archuleta reminds me of porky pig. Yuck.
