Posted: 7/5/04 at 11:55pmi think "Let's Fall in Love" was one of the songs that went in and out of various versions of ANYTHING GOES...one version has the stuffy Brit singing it to/with Reno. Some Porter website probably has the real story of its origin.
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys.

I was in a sexual education show in high school and the preshow music that played right before it opened was this pop-punk esque version of 'Let's Fall In Love'... it was awful.
Didn't really enjoy Alanis' version of it, either; I heard her singing it on The View and it was kind of whiny (not that I watch The View).
Is the song 'I Love Paris' from the show 'Paris'? I'm familiar with the Frank Sinatra version... I think it's a Porter song.

TX is correct "I Love Paris" is from Can-Can, 1953.
Laughter is much more important than applause. Applause is almost a duty. Laughter is a reward.
