Degrassi

Does anyone watch Degrassi? I am obsessed with it, but no one here where I live seems to know what it is...

re: Degrassi

I watched the Degrassi Jr High a zillion years ago. Like Caitlin.

re: Degrassi

have you seen any of the next generation episodes? I think they are awesome!

re: Degrassi

Yes! I missed this weekend's episode because I don't have a TV here. But I usually watch it faithfully.

re: Degrassi

A lot of those kids are from around here, and I know a lot of friends who have seen them in our mall or at our school for musical performances. I haven't personally seen/met any of them, not that I care, never really got into the show.

I *was* thinking about auditioning for it though, just cause it's convenient for me, and it seems like it what be a fun thing to do.

re: Degrassi

I am WAY too old to like Degrassi, but it's a bizarre addiction.

All the new episodes aired in Canada a good four months ago or so, and are floating around the internet (I don't have cable anymore) so I've already seen all the episodes from this season.

I actually have every single episode of Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High and Degrassi TNG ever made.

ETA: Season 6 started shooting this week, and I believe they've contracted for 19 episodes. There is talk of a possible Season 7 though whether that means the introduction of new characters (as the younger class of Emma, J.T., etc. will have graduated high school by that point) or they will be following the current characters to college has not been decided. There are plans to incorporate some storylines of the older class (that graduated at the end of this past season) at college in this upcoming season.

Yea. I am THAT big of a loser.

re: Degrassi

I am OBSESSED With Degrassi. It's really sad. I just got into it this season but I watch the repeats of other seasons whenever they're on.

re: Degrassi

Yeah I was OBSESSED with the old ones when I was growing up, and watch those on the N when they rerun them, also do like TNG, it is strangely addicting, no matter what your age. But I really like seeing like Joey and Caitlin and Spike and Snake all grown up.

Great show!

I love watching Degrassi. What those kids deal with make my problems seem so small by comparison.

Canadian teen TV: Kids in school deal with gay rights, school shootings, bullying, sex, drugs, etc.

USA teen TV: Zack and Slater sell Screech's spaghetti sauce out of science lab beaker while Jessie protests a swimsuit calendar.

Now the quiz: Which country was founded by stuffy Puritans?

Sometimes my sister and I watch it just to make fun of it. It's HORRENDOUS.

re: Degrassi

How can you say it's horrendous! It's so much better then a lot of other shows teens watch. And it teaches you so much!

re: Degrassi

I used to watch Degrassi all the time. Marco is so hot. Adamo, the actor who plays Marco goes to my church...that one of my main reasons for going to church sometimes.LOL.

Degrassi... is.. my life. Okay, no. But I am wildly addicted, even though I know it isn't exactly top-notch tv. I love it.

re: Degrassi

Love it! It's actually pretty big around where I live...I've managed to get just about all my friends into it. Although, I have to admit, I do a lot more making fun of it than actually watching it.
