Anyone hear from anyone if its worth it to see in 3D? I'm thinking I'm taking the kids tomorrow.

I saw it in 2D and loved it! I honestly don't think any movie is worth 3D, but that's just me. The movie was great; lots of jokes for the adults and kids.

Awww, we really liked this. Adorable through and through. I may have actually liked this a tad more than the original!

I saw it yesterday! The original is more inventive (in both story-telling and visuals) but the sequel is a worthy follow-up. The voice work is stellar (Steve Carrell is just genius as Gru...and you can almost feel how much he loves playing this character, simply from his voice) and the animation is eye-popping. I did not see it in 3D, so I can't comment on that aspect, but judging by some of the visual moments in the movie, it's probably a lot of fun in 3D. Kids will flip over it and parents will find a few laughs in some funny adult jokes (there is a gag that spoofs that famous chest-burst scene from ALIEN and it's pretty funny, if you catch it). Of course, it's not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a lot better than some of the other animated dreck that Hollywood produces.

Also, I want a minion. Now. Updated On: 7/6/13 at 06:59 PM

I disagree, i would actually say it is a great film in it's genre and what it wanted to do, it does it perfectly, and good lord the Minions are amazing, a bet Pixar are kicking themselves they never came up with them, especially from a merchandising point of view.

Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna

I saw it last night and it was a very funny film. If your children or nieces and nephews have already seen 'Monsters University' then this is the perfect thing for them to see next.

ETA: I thought the 3D worked very well for this film. Updated On: 7/7/13 at 04:21 PM

We saw it in 2D, and the first time I that thought I might be missing something was during the end credits.

Both my kids, 16 and 12 just loved it.
