Mine was last night but it really wasn't that great. But probably the worst thing about it was the fact that we had this damn attention whore in our group who pretty much bitched all evening. That just was not cool.

i went to my junior prom. not my senior prom. i was in a show it was more fun anyway

Wow...prom...what a hassle that was.

I'll just never forget sitting in a limo on Sunset in ridiculous traffic with everyone inside the limo arguing with each other.

I didn't go to my prom. I haven't gomne to any of the class reunions, either. I couldn't stand my classmates. Still can't.

when i was a sophomore, I went to a junior prom. The difference between junior and senior prom was junior had a buffet while senior had formal, sit-down wait service. But both were at very nice restaurants. And junior prom was 2 weeks earlier.

No one ever asked me to a senior prom.

It happened on Derby Day, so i took all the money I'd saved for a dress and put it on Seattle Slew to win. Made money.

I sure made out better than those guys that booked an expensive hotel room for the night trying in vain to lose their virginity.

I went to mine, but that was the worst two hours of my life! I left early.

Theres somthing about a bunch of dancing arrogant cowboys that doesnt appeal to me!

Hah. I know some people who booked rooms in the Days Inn and Super 8 -- I hope everyone enjoyed losing their virginity in there.

I didn't go, but then again I wasn't interested in going anyway. Wasn't my thing. I went to my fifth year HS reunion, and it wasn't very fun. I didn't see one person there that I hung around with (the Drama Club gang), and had very little to talk about with those who were there (the jocks and cheerleaders, etc). The only thing we had in common was the graduation date. Haven't been to one since, and next year is my 30th!! Oy :)

Creaks off to trip (and fall) down memory lane.....

I didn't go. My sister was in her last year of Med School, and we were planning a trip to the midwest to see some stadiums and do some sight-seeing. Her vacation happened to fall during the time of my prom. Hmm, week on a road trip in a different part of country, or one dance that probably wouldn't cost me that much less than the trip? It was an easy decision.

Besides, my friends planned to go to a comedy club after. Someone had the wrong time so apparently they spent 2 hours fighting in the limo.

I went to mine and a few older classmates prom.
I had a wonderful time at mine with the class clown.
But, I had the best time at an older classmates who was three years older than me.

I went to my Junior and Senior proms and had a pretty good time at both of them. Although I've always felt that getting ready for the dance with all your friends and going to dinner is more fun than the dance itself.

So overated!!!!!!

I didn't go! Was afraid/shy to ask someone......would much rather perfered someone to ask me! Which now it can happen!

I was in a class called Environmental Design and we made the props nd decorated the prom, so I felt connected to it.

Anyways, it's overated with its dinners before hand and its parties afterwards.

I don't regret in one bit!!!!!!

Just curious, how do you know it was overrated if you were not there?

I think a lot depends on who you go with and what your expectations are.

I went with a group of friends, and we ended up having an after prom party at my house. It was fun. Not amazing, but I am glad I did it my senior year.

Was it the best night of my life, no. But, it was something I was glad to have done.

I went to my prom and it was disappointing and overrated. But, I don't regret it because I think if I hadn't gone I always would have wondered if I missed out on something.
