Posted: 3/5/12 at 6:31pmI'm pretty sure my house has ghosts. It's like two hundred years old and I'm always feeling and hearing strange things...

I have never seen a ghost but once when a friend was over she said she felt a ghost push her out of my apt. I was sitting on my couch and she was pushed out of the door. I saw her sliding across the room but nothing was pushing her. Very scary. Another time when my Father died I was in his apt right after he died and the door opened when I told my Dad I missed him. I did not see the knob move but the door flung open by itself and it was closed.
I do believe in spirits but have never seen a ghost.

EL OH MOTHERFVCKIN EL.
Did the eggs on your counter begin to cook by themselves, too?
Also most people just use an excuse like "my roommate locked himself out of the apartment so I need to go home" in order to get out of something. This girl must have reeeeeeeeally wanted to GTFO of your apartment!!

On the other hand, we can breathe a collective sigh of relief that Corine is no longer wedged in her doorway trapped in her wheelchair. Oh, what a sad story that was!
Be grateful for small miracles.

I, too, always think that an atheist and a belief in the supernatural can't coexist. Perhaps the difference between an atheist and agnostic is the belief in "spirituality" as the kids say.
But I like to believe there could be something to it, so I guess I magically think about magical thinking? I've never really had anything freaky happen that couldn't logically be explained, but there is a part of me that always hopes that maybe one day I'll have telekinesis or maybe vampires do exist.
But the sleep paralysis! Calvin, I also only got them in college. I was always convinced it was from smoking too much pot or acid flashbacks. They only happened when I was in my dorm room alone and it I would feel like I was wide awake, but I literally couldn't move an inch of my body. Then I'd get panicky and kind of hyperventilate their my mouth that wouldn't open.

I haven't read the thread but I wanted to put in my two cents.
My last apartment had a spirit. Wasn't anything mean or scary but there was something else there. I only saw him directly a few times but felt him a few times a week. He liked to watch me do Cotes: my laundry, dishes. He liked to watch tv with me a lot too. I could always feel his weight next to me on the couch.
The scariest thing was when he laid down in bed with me. It wasn't so much scary as weird. I knew I was alone but I felt him. It felt like he was laying next to me.
I never felt threatened or felt like my life was in danger. He did worse things to my roommate. Again, nothing major, but he'd move stuff around and make noises. I never saw this.
It was neat living with him.
