"I want you all to grow up a chubby, bushy-haired, translucent-skin, "Husky" clothes-size-wearing child. And on top of it all, I was a bossy little cow. I wore the Reebok shoes with white socks scrunched down. I had the Umbro shorts that showed EVERY SINGLE HARD-ON I EVER HAD. I even had the wind suits because they didn't make jeans that would fit around my big belly.
I grew up U.G.L.Y. "
I grew up one of those. Only I wasn't translucent, I was pink-skinned with a nasty blonde combover most of the time. And I wasn't bossy, I was shy and girly and didn't understand why the word fag had my picture on the side of it in the dictionary

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)
