oh my GOD....I'm having a Village people moment.......got the cd on.......and going nuts
Folsom Street, on the way to Polk and Castro
You don't find them finer
Freedom, freedom is in the air, yeah
Searching for what we all treasure : pleasure
Cycles, cycles in the night shining bright
Brightly on nights tell a glory story
Leather, leather, leather, leather baby
Levi's and T's are the best now all right
Dress the way you please and put your mind at ease
It's a city known for its freedom
Cycles shining bright break the silence of the night
Inhibitions, no, you don't need them, no,no,no
San Francisco, san francisco
City by the Bay yeah
You've got me
and more
(Together) We will go our way
(Together) We will leave someday
(Together) Your hand in my hand
(Together) We will make the plans
(Together) We will fly so high
(Together) Tell our friends goodbye
(Together) We will start life new
(Together) This is what we'll do
(Go west) Life is peaceful there
(Go west) Lots of open air
(Go west) To begin life new
(Go west) This is what we'll do
(Go west) Sun in winter time
(Go west) We will do just fine
(Go west) Where the skies are blue
(Go west) This and more we'll do
Hehehehe.

I always loved how you could time the arrival of the ships (I grew up in Virginia Beach/Norfolk )
This gives new meaning to the "On the Town" musical.
They never showed that part of it for some reason. Hmmmm.
I used to live near an Air Force Base. Friday Nights were always fun.
"Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope.”
"Will somebody get this walking carpet out of my way?"
"Into the garbage chute, flyboy."

I was in the Air Force - Flyboys aren't as much fun as Squids.
But NOTHING is like a Marine
I just love your Avatar. I have to say it again and again just because.
Or, and the beasts love it as well.
oh, I beg to disagree....NOTHING compares to Army MP's.........they react, unlike Marines who pretend they have NO idea what is going on.........the old "I can't remember a thing last night", lol
OK - back to the main question - how could anybody watch the Village People and not know what they stood for?
I had female friends in school who lusted after the construction guy the cowboy and the cop?
Danny and I just laughed and laughed.
oh I know.....there are still people in the UP who think they're straight, LOL
In my last job I worked in an office staffed by Army, Navy, and Air Force officers. Our boss was an Army General. (It was GREAT being a civilian there! I loved it.) Oh yes - and we had 1 Marine. He looked like he'd stepped right off of a recruiting poster. He said the reason the office only had one Marine billet was because one Marine was the equivalent of a dozen from any of the other services. He believed it and he might have been right! We had some great Friday night parties at a local watering hole.
oh, and the UP is this....the redneck part of Michigan, where men are men and Moose like them that way!

Elph - I never had a problem getting a Marine to react.
But enough about me.
And we both referrenced 'flyboy' at the same time.
Face it, we both just liked men in uniform
Hell, most of us like a men in uniform. As long as he is backing heat.
Ohh, bad, bad and obvious YWIW - off to the corner for your.
DG, flyboys in Germany were quite nice, and their mess halls ALWAYS had the best food......
there was something about RAMstein AFB that was oh so pleasent.....ok, I am getting ridiculous...time to eat
I never made it to the mess hall, but did get on the base a few times. They all had the best motorcycles. One had a BMW bike. It was just beautiful. Most fun ever!
I have a VPM at least once a week when I have to teach 5 straight guys the moves to YMCA on the boat.
It's a hoot.
lol diva, I am picturing that.......
youwant, dare I ask what you did on base?
Elphaba to YWIW: "Dare I ask what you did on base?"
Silly Ephie. YWIW is always off base.
Everybody knows that.
