Jason Aldean's mic broke at the end of his duet with Kelly Clarkson. Foo Fighters sound amazing.

Taylor showed that critic, who trashed her performance at the 2010 Grammys and who she also wrote that song about, that she CAN sing. Then, she got a stanidng ovation. :)

Can we talk about the (well we shouldn't because that's what she wants) the Niki Manaj/Sondheim thing... uh...

Lady Gaga called (and this goes for several attending) and she wants her costume shtick back.

PS Gaga seemed genuinely pissed. Didn't she say something like Born This Way was her best work and best music in a decade or something. When juxtaposed with that other crap we heard tonight I just don't know.... An her costume was just sad. Like really, you need to have the scepter with you at all times? It's pretty bad when she's upstaged by Little Red Ridinghood and Deadmau5

I'm having a hard time following your shifting points of view and the leaps in your narrative, fine.

I associate Nikki's best moments being 'The Bride of Blackenstein' and 'Do the Creep' on SNL so this whole performance hit it out of the park for me. More Alice Cooper than Lady Gaga.

I finally saw Nicki Manaj's performance (I hate being on the West Coast when there is a delay - I found it online). Did not expect that at the Grammys. But, it kept me interested and watching. I know some are slamming her for it. I think sometimes she is a bit unfocused and scattered, but I watched.

I don't quite get her gay alter ego "Roman Zolanski" and why he looks exactly like her and why he appears on Eminem songs.

I'm not a super fan. I saw her on SNL and kind of dug her and my friend Joe is a huge fan of hers so he got me her album and I enjoy it. And I watched and E! special about her. I can't put my finger on what it is about her that I like. I think Pink Friday is catchy, and I hate the the track I think is the catchiest is the one that has Eminmen on it. I like that one one song she does the "ah oh"s from "Video Killed the Radio Star."

I sort of get the deal with Roman, inasmuch that Joe explained it to me once, and a few listens of the album later I was sort of like, "Oh yeah." I have just enough grasp of it that when I watched her performance I again went, "Oh yeah." I kind of like that she's doing some kind of bigger story or whatever. I don't know. I'm not saying the story is good or anything, but I respond to it.

I don't understand the early comment about Sondheim, though?

I find Roman to be much more Chris Gaines than Ziggy Stardust.

And Skrillex has the distinction of being the first performer to make me want to shake my cane and say "You kids call this garbage music?"
