"his comments are usually spot on."
...Really?
"he's arrogant enough to think that he wins no matter who he chooses and that there's no consequences to anything he does. oh bammy. you poor naive narcissist. i almost feel bad for the guy. but not really."
That's certainly fair and balanced.

papa is not fair and balanced, but he is funny and speaks his mind.
I have no need to be surrounded by a bunch of yodeling sycophants.

That's certainly fair and balanced.
I never said he was fair and balanced, Trekkie. I said he was usually right. There's a big difference.

When asked if she knew who..."It'll be exciting news," Sebelius told reporters in Kansas.
I just can't imagine her saying this about any of the names being tossed around as finalists, particularly Edwards who hardly anyone has even heard of. How is he exciting news? I still think he has a surprise up his sleeve.

The only possible realistic choice that would be "exciting" is Hillary.
Al Gore is an unrealistic choice that would be exciting.

Kudos would be realistic and exciting.
Kang would be exciting and realistic.

Posted: 8/22/08 at 5:25pmRichardson would be an extremely exciting pick to me, but I'm referring to a pick that would generate the buzz that he's lost during the dog days of August.

Richardson is cool because of his stance on the war... but something tells me the man has some serious skeletons.

I agree that Clark or Richardson would be exciting choices. Other names that I would put in that category would be Michael Bloomberg and Colin Powell, not that I think either will be the choice. Other names that were bandied about but have fallen out of the conversation are Janet Napolitano and Brian Schweitzer. And, of course Clinton is on an entirely different plane than anyone else.
I find neither Bayh nor Kaine exciting, and I don't think they're good choices. Biden may be an acceptable VP choice, but not exciting.
