An underrated actress who should have become a much bigger star than she did. One of the sexiest voices ever. I'd take her over 50 J-Los any day.
Elizabeth Pena dies
NOOOOOOO!
One of my favorites since the mid 80s. So so so tragic.
She was so talented. Her and her mom were trailblazers for the hispanic acting community.
How does someone die of natural causes at 55?...
Article says she died after a "brief illness", ChgoTheatreGuy. Perhaps it was updated after you read it. Sad news indeed. Wonderful actress.
RIP
Sad news. I remember her in a Cagney and Lacey episode years ago then a few years later in *batteries not included.
Really enjoyed her work.
"Natural causes" doesn't necessarily mean dying of old age in your sleep.
Natural causes = cancer, heart attack, stroke, etc.
Unnatural causes = bullet to the head, fell under a subway train, heroin overdose etc.
Sad news indeed. She'll be missed.
Oh, dear! I too thought she was wonderful.
The article says she died after a "brief" illness. I pray it's true her suffering was brief.
I remember her best from the excellent John Sayles film, Lone Star:

This is truly sad. Her talent seemed so natural and effortless. I always enjoyed her work. She will be missed.

Her work in LONE STAR is incredible. She should have been nominated for all the major awards, but alas. A terrific actress and, from what I've heard, a quality person. RIP.

I really enjoyed her work on 'Modern Family' and 'The Incredibles'. R.I.P
