I have always been "Mr. Combine-Your-Similar-Threads" but I'd really like to pull out discussion about 4/6's American Idol, because I think it deserves it's own topic.
I felt worse for Elton John than anyone else, because he had to say somewhat nice things about people who had just butchered his music.
Best to Worst:
1. Jennifer Hudson (She closed the show with panache)
2. George Huff (with the exception of the squatting, he was fab)
3. Jasmine Trias (she hit a couple of clunkers, but overall, good style)
4. Fantasia Barrion (I don't think the world needs a second Macy Gray, the hype is a little much. But she was OK)
5. La Toya London (I can't remember her, so she couldn't have been that bad, or that good)
6. Diana DeGarmo (She's got spunk, and maybe hasn't found her place yet, but this perf. was mediocre)
7. Camile Velasco (She tried.)
8. Jon Peter Lewis (What is up with that arm-wave dance he did? Charisma was key last night, especially if you couldn't pull of the song. Come on JPL, do the underwear ad, and then go to grad school)
9. John Stevens (When is Sinatra Night happening? Everyone has a style, but until Mike Buble' is on AI, I don't think that this is the right venue. Brothers from my childhood town, so I thought I'd support him, but this too must come to an end.)
for reference (cause I don't know all of their name/faces even now): http://www.idolonfox.com/contestants/
