Not sure why, but I have lost all interest in the Emmys. Too many shows and actors I am just completely unfamiliar with, I guess. I didn't watch, even though one of my favorite actors of all time won an award last night. I really don't care.

Just finished watching the Emmys.
Eugene and Dan Levy were hilarious as father/son hosts.
Candice Bergen was gorgeous in a glittering gown and spot-on politically funny.
Well done.

A shame the Murphy Brown reboot flopped. I liked it.

Spent the last two days binge-watching Season 2 of "The Traitors". I was familiar with only one competitor, but it didn't matter. They were all unique in their own way. So happy the show won three Emmys (including Alan Cumming as Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program). The views of the gorgeous Scottish landscape brought back many memories of my days in the late 1960s as a U.S. sailor stationed there.
And nobody plays Alan Cumming better than Alan Cumming. It was worth tuning in each episode just to see what over-the-top Scottish outfits he was wearing. What a treasure he is!
On to Season 3

Alan Cumming is indeed a treasure. Something we agree on, HG. Apart from his obvious talent and charisma, I especially admired how he returned his “royal honor” after realizing the devastating legacy of British imperialism. I’ve mentioned this before, I know, but you accused me of disrespecting him…so, just setting the record straight.
