Hmm, this should be interesting. There will be speculation!
and the countdown to the inappropriate post begins...
They're reporting he had a heart attack.

No sympathy here Papa. The guy stole millions, ruined hundreds of people's lives and got to got to die in his own bed instead of prison where he was headed.
difference between sympathy and what i meant, wexy.
I was raised to never speak ill of the dead. Prayers and good thoughts to his family
Drudge first posted it as a suicide.
I know he did some less than stellar things in his life, but I am sorry to hear it and hope he rests in peace.
A massive heart attack isn't all that incomprehensible given the pressure of knowing the suffering he caused and the stress of knowing where he was headed.
Maybe it was autoerotic asphixia?

I'm sorry but how can you have a heart attack if you have no heart?
Regardless of what he did in life, I hope he rests in peace.
I was laso told to speak good of the dead...
He's dead...good.
I suspect a silver cross, holy water and a stake might be neccessary for that.
Choose your rumors:
* He's not dead. He faked a death to avoid sentencing or forcing Bush to pardon him. He's taken the money and he's off to South America.
* Bush and Cheney had him murdered to keep him from spilling the beans.
Can't we have both? Bush and cheney faked the murder so Kenny Boy could go to Sous America and not spill the beanos!

This pisses me off beyond belief
To know that he was in a jail cell would have given me relief
But now that he's chill'n underground
My disquietation has gone from an ant pile to a mound
His death could not have happened at a mo' perfect time
So he could not have recieved a "time-out" fo' his crime
The dude is now six feet undah
I fear da grim reaper's made a terrible blundah
PEACE!
AND THE SPECIAL EDITION DVD OF "GREASE"!

The judgement he's facing now is going to be worse than the judgement in the courtroom!

Here's an intersting editorial about it:
"...To me, that is the most interesting question: If Ken Lay had remembered how short life can be, would he really have wasted his time on earth and causing so much pain and destruction?
For any other corporate leaders who about to slide down a slippery slope of fraud and corruption, his early demise provides a chilling lesson: Life's too short to be a crook."

If you ask me, though, he still got off easy.
After the shock of hearing Ken Lay had died passed, I felt he had cheated the stockholders out of knowing he was behind bars.
He escapes a punishment for which he justly deserves.
