That happened to me on my first post, but it was idiotic, so I deserved it. I want to just say I full heartedly agree with you.

I truly love these boards, but I do agree that often many people here are quick to judge and jump down other peoples' throats.

Hi, Fellow Broadway Fan,

You sentiments are of course unfortunate.

But may I suggest you bring your concerns more directly to the people you intend your message to be addressed to? Contact them via PM or something?

Because, as fair warning, you're only going to be throwing yourself in the fire by making this thread.
Take care!

I agree with you too. Everyone needs to be nice to each other and needs to accept others opinions. We are all here to share information and have a good time, so that is what we need to do.

And if someone is new, we should be nice to them. They are new! Smiles all around :)

See, now that's you being paranoid. All I'm saying is that there are *so* many posts like this -- people come in and say they've been watching for days, weeks, months, etc, and list their grievances. Just sayin' -- not treating you any which way. It's easy to discredit.

It is, though, hard to welcome someone who makes such a loving entrance. It just really makes you want to welcome them, don't you think? Come on, dude, common sense.

Be careful about posting. I highly reccomend waiting a few weeks and reading and seeing which posters are the negative nellies and what do certain posters do that pisses off others. Just rushing into posting isn't the smartest decision on a place like this. Also it's a message board others have said it, I will too...Don't take it personally.

Don't take it as a personal attack. It's just their way of being funny.

Ruprecht88, now that you have seen fit to harass me via PM, I'll have you know that you're just fuelling your own fire. You're the problem, inventing another, jumping to conclusions because you already have your mind made up.

Don't worry luv. Clearly, since their username is Ruprecht88, the only show they've ever seen is Dirty Rotten Scoundrels which means they know nothing. If they had chosen Elphaba88 they might have some credibility.

of you have been watching for a long time then you should have been ready to take abuse after this message, without pming, witch just gets people pissed.

I personally agree with your opinion, but dont pm, it just gets you in trouble if used to be mean.

If a person has a show reference in their name why does it mean its the only show they've seen? DRS might just be their current favorite show.. my name refers to mano from sweeney but I've seen other shows.

not saying you're wrong about any of this. i'm just wondering.

Rupe, mind if I call you Rupe? Rupe dear, there have been numerous old, old, years old threads bumped lately. Many of the comments in them seem out of place without knowing the history of what was happening on the board at the time. They are out of context and their meaning is lost on many. There is also a history, a long history, that many posters have with old members, new members, and the "acting" new members who post under a different name. Now I don't know if one of these old threads is what prompted your post, but don't take any thread at its face value.

Often there is more drama behind a thread than what is visible.

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

Which is also the only word in the English language with all of the vowels in it, in order.

I don't know if that made sense.

BOXERS! I love sh*t like that! I love useless knowledge, my mind is churning vat of it! I get so tickled by word play like that, hahaha thanks for adding another one to the bank.

Here's a few for you:
(EASY LEVEL) What's the longest English word that can be typed on the top row of a keyboard?
(MEDIUM LEVEL) What's the only number spelled in alphabetical order?
(HARDER LEVEL) What's the only US state capital that doesn't share any letters with its state's name?

"Oh I'm sorry... did I threadjack? That was entirely unintentional," he said faceciously.
