re: FED UP!

You know what makes FED UP!?

When people do this: (disclaimer: this is an example)

ABC to star in BDNOIUELKJRD at OULERE

WTF? It's fine if you spell out everyone once, and then use initials later, but not in the original post, or in the subject!

re: FED UP!

Sheesh...I've been a "lurker" for months now but never felt the urge to sign up just to lecture people who have been posting here for months/years...(but did feel the urge to sign up and lecture someone who purports to be another lurker...rodney? carla? is that any of you?).

Anyhoo...most of you guys (and gals) have been constantly cracking me up for a while now and I felt like finally jumping into the pool.

Hey, why give the guy a hard time over his username? Maybe his real name is Ruprecht.

re: FED UP!

This thread it making me crack up. re: FED UP!, I promise for as many Biatches, not the good kind, BWW get's for posters there's twice as many REALLY great people. If you interacted and stayed here for a few months then I'm sure you'll figure that out.
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

re: FED UP!

i agree that certain people on this site can take their comments too far, and be overly jugementle i know because the broadway thing is still new to me, but there have been a select few people that have been very nice to me, but i agree that people should be nicer, let the credicts be mean, be nice to fellow lovers of music.

re: FED UP!

Heh. I understand the feeling all too well.

I eat up the main board(s) topics and say nothing even when I really want to because of the fact that I know I can add nothing useful and even when I have a question, I'd rather Google it than walk into an embarrassing situation. Plus, what a scary place!

That said, I am an expert on a lot of subjects and I would never treat anybody that is just getting into them or is not as knowledgeable with nothing but respect because I know how naked it feels to be tabula rasa. Besides, making yourself feel better by belittling somebody else is the ultimate sign for a reality check. You can’t help being new to something and it’s cool UNLESS you’re being pretentious or claiming to be the all knowing god of whatever.

Most of the time rude answers are uncalled for and can discourage legitimate appreciation for something, be it the stage or a sport, etc. It happens everywhere, though. Being a newbie sucks, but you won’t be a newbie forever. It’s a temporary sickness and I’ll be honest, sometimes it ain’t pretty. But there’s nothing you can do about it except keep on learning and try to not make a fool of yourself (heh).

In this case (Broaway World.com), I know I don’t know or know too little. But damn if the OT board isn’t fun! :)

not a problem fic, we all have our moments.......

I have no problem with real whining...but these people who whine about insulting their Broadway intelligence (usually a good indication they have none) and are SHOCKED by whatever (sounding very much like a Grand Duchess or whine that "so-and-so" was mean to whoever just want to make want to scream.
