re: Fads of The Past

I remember all of those...I also remember when Jelly shoes came back, and the whole Lisa Frank thing with the brightly colored folders, pencils, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, erasers, binders, stickers, and so on. Oh! And Trapper Keepers!

I remember those! I was obsessed with all of those that were mentioned!! I had SO many pongs and Gigapets and Tamagachis. Up until 6th grade I was obsessed with Lisa Frank. I was HUGE into Pokemon when I was younger. But then it died out. Does anyone remember Rainbow Bright?? I was obessed with her!

Jelly shoes! Are those the ones with the shiny stuff around the toe? I once poked a hole in pair of mine and watched the shiny stuff come out. It was fun.

Oh my God Rainbow Brite. I had a whole bedroom set, complete with comforter, canopy, shams, sheets, and curtains. I LOVED her. Oh, and remember when the whole schoolgirl thing came back after Britney's video? :::shudders:::

Ew. I hated her from the beginning. Just never understood the appeal. But back on topic, do you guys remember all the old Nickelodeon shows? On SNICK? Are You Afraid of the Dark, Salute Your Shorts, Clarissa Explains it All, Hey Dude? I loved those.

Clumsy- YES! Dragonair. I loved Pokemon. I would spend forever making up my own decks for the card game.

re: Fads of The Past

OMG Tamagachis! I havn't heard that name in a looooong time! I too used to be a Pokemon nerd. I have over 1,000 cards (even to this day). It's on my to-do list to sell them on Ebay though. Furby and cabage patch kids were other fads.

Now I have elementary-school fad envy. I never had that many, chinkie. And Furbies just scare the crap out of me. You know what else is scary as hell? Boobahs.

re: Fads of The Past

Well, there was nothing wrong with Pokemon, Nia...but there was nothing right about them either. They were sinister.

re: Fads of The Past

I was obsessed with everything Pokemon when i was in third grade. I watched the tv shows, i made my own decks, I saw the movies, i played the card game with my friends, and i went to all the mall conventions in my area. It was kind of sad. lol I stopped liking them when my principal banned them from school and then everyone stopped playing. hehehe boobahs. That tv show is scary.

re: Fads of The Past

SINISTER? How?! I didn't do conventions, but I am guilty of the rest of that, chinkie. Do you remember the movies?
#24

re: Fads of The Past

I don't remember much of the movie. I remember that little Pikachu movie at the beginning though. I only saw the first movie though because by the time the second one came out, I began to loose interest in Pokemon. Oh the memories of third grade!

re: Fads of The Past

The Pokemon movies were my life. I swear I was flat-out bawling when Ash died and was revived by Pikachu in the first movie.
