Posted: 9/15/08 at 4:32pmThat Crispin Glover interview was hilarious, but he was playing a character named Rubin Farr from the movie "Rubin and Ed." He plays the same character in this crazy song called "Clowny Clown Clown" as well, too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rH6b_lSQst0 Crispin Glover is a VERY strange guy, though. That "Clowny Clown Clown" song pretty much gave me nightmares.

Howard Stern and Andre Previn. To this day it is considered the worst interview in the history of the Stern show, with Previn storming out of the studio hurling insults at the whole team.
I doubt it will ever be re-aired. I've only seen it once. I'd love to see it again... so uncomfortable it puts many of these to shame.

Willem Dafoe on the BBC's Hardtalk 'defending' the movie Antichrist. The interviewer was a fill-in and the whole conversation was contentious. It was a bit unfair to Willem Dafoe since he is not Lars von Trier or even Charlotte Gainsbourg, who's the character, not Dafoe, that goes through the even that makes Antichrist so controversial. Dafoe refused to answer any question because he does not know what it means, he just inhibits it. The interviewer calls him a cypher, he takes offense, she basically questions the artistry, that the movie is torture porn, it takes a quick, angry turn. It ends with the interviewer going out of her way to say Dafoe has been nominated for Oscars- but has won none.
I've tried to find videos but to no avail. The videos available do not do it justice.

I think I would say Julie Andrews on Regis & Kelly. The interview itself isn't awkward but around 715 is so awkward it's hilarious.

Anyone remember the episode of Regis & Kathie Lee when Howie Mandel was filling in for Regis and he made that crack about Halle Berry's car accident? He said something like, "She ran right into me in the hallway, didn't even say anything, and walked away." She was mad when she came out to be interviewed.
If I recall correctly she wouldn't even come out unless he left the stage.

"Sexy actress Halle Berry lost her sense of humour live on television - when comedian Howie Mandel made a crack about her hit and run accident. Mandel, who was standing in for talk show host Regis Philbin, made a quip about Berry just before she came in front of the cameras to be interviewed about her new movie X-Men (2000). He joked, "I just passed her in the hall, and she smashed right into me, then she didn't say anything, she just left the scene." But Berry, who has since spoken out about the accident (see interview) claiming she was disoriented and in shock after the crash, didn't find the joke all that funny. Talking frankly she admitted to Mandell, "I was so shocked to come to what is like a home, and to be disrespected almost to my face." Mandel backtracked immediately, assuring Berry, "I'm so sorry if I hurt your feelings, I didn't mean anything, I'm a huge fan of yours."
But I am almost positive that there was a later incident where she wouldn't talk to him.

Posted: 11/16/11 at 6:38amI don't think even Samantha would answer that question from a total stranger on a red carpet! Kim handled it well though, probably from years of experience..."a woman with dignity doing the best she can in very difficult circumstances".
