Hey guys. I've been thinking about switching shampoo/onciditioner brand (I haven't been getting that silky-soft feeling I want) and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a better choice. Thanks for the help!

Bed Head (by Tigi) Oatmeal and Honey. Amazing! It's turquoise colored and smells like oatmeal cookies. Great for highlights. I also love their Moisture Maniac shampoo and conditioner (the orange colored one, smells citrus-y and it is the BEST conditioner I have ever used. My hands glide through my hair in the shower after using this, and I have very thick hair). On the expensive side. I love everything I have ever tried by Bed Head. Another excellent conditioner is Redken All Soft. It's very creamy/goopy...you've got to not mind that texture. Great if you need a good conditioning and you want to leave it in for five minutes. Purology is great if you have highlights or color your hair. Expensive. In my experience, stay away from the all-in-one combo shampoo and conditioner. Updated On: 8/10/06 at 10:06 AM

My mom uses Bed Head's gel, and it works great for her. I might have to look into that, thanks Blueroses!

I highly recommend the KMS products, as well as Graham Webb and Rusk. (I used to rep for KMS, and I worked in a salon in San Francisco for a while and we used Graham Webb, Rusk, Sebastian, and Abba products only.) I find that Graham Webb shampoo and conditioner are unbeatable, but their finishing products are so-so.

For the best finishing products on the planet, Sebastian all the way. If you can't find Sebastian, you can also get along quite nicely with TiGi and Redken, which you can find at most mega-drugstores these days.

Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

I actually love the Got2B cream pomades, too. Light and not greasy.
I use Redken a lot as well (mom's a hairstylist and she was so chi-chi for her day, using Redken long before anyone else in her salon) and currently use their shampoo as well as Bumble and Bumble.

I put Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum in my hair after it's washed before I blow it out. Smells like watermelon and it works beautifully! My hair is naturally very curly, and it smooths it really well.

See, Paul Mitchell conditioner is what I'm using now and it's just not working for me.
