Merry Christmas, everyone.
Okay, this year, it's a tie for my two favorites. I got Speech and Debate tickets. And then the second one is possibly the best Christmas gift I've ever gotten. My mom took my camera and printed out all the Spring Awakening-related pictures I had on it. Then she made this sort of collage, framed it, and voila. Granted, I look really bad in the pictures and there's one where John Gallagher looks like a Muppet, but still, I was very impressed.

My favorite Christmas gift I got this year was Colbie Callait's album "Coco" that my brother sent me from Cuba since he's there on naval duty. I have no idea how he knew I loved her music!
My favorite present would have to be my digital picture frame. It's one of those things where you put a memory stick in there and it changes the picture every few seconds.
GlindatheGood, i wanna see your collage! show us!
oh! I would like to get those digital picture frame! but are those really expensive and can you download jpeg files on it ?

i got this photo of my Dad's bar mitzvah that i had never seen before, from an aunt & uncle who i'd never met before this year.
& i got this great book all about the Making Of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS from Miss Pennywise & family!
Norn, those are wonderful!
Both of the ones that come to mind for me are kinda nerdy, but I'm "owning" my nerdiness now with pride, so who cares!?
I remember getting a very cool skeleton marionette when I was about 8 or 9. I think it was a Pelham Puppets marionette. Anyway, you could pull certain strings and the whole thing would come apart, and then come back together again. Its head would fly off, etc. I LOVED it!
I also remember the year my parents saved up and bought me a violin. I really wanted to learn to play, and it was expensive for us to get one. I opened all my presents that year, and the last one was a cardboard poster tube all wrapped up. I thought it was going to be a poster but it was a violin bow. So I asked them, "why did you get me a bow, when I don't have a violin?" That's when Mom and Dad told me to go look in the hall closet. So I did and found the case with the violin in it.
That was one I'll never forget.
And I ended up playing violin and then switching to viola my sophomore year in high school. I went to college on a voice and viola double scholarship. It paid my way through college, so I guess that difficult "investment" in my early Christmas gift ended up saving us quite a chunk of change for tuition in the long run. Funny how things work out.

I got some great things, including a nice gift card to put toward a new TV, but my favorite thing this year was one of the small ones. My mom looked everywhere for a sterling necklace with my tattoo on it. It's the chinese symbol for power/strength. It's small and so pretty. I love it.
Betty Buckley's "1967" Cd and tickets to Xanadu.
The Homecoming tickets, and spending time with my two lovely friends tomorrow.

My favorite will be the one I plan on buying for myself in January...remote start for my car.

^ My new superpretty Hermes studded cuff. This pic I nabbed from ebay, lol, but it's similar except mine's in black alligator with brass metalwork. I'm going to be buried with it on. :)

This year, I got a phone (yeah, my first one. How lame is that?) and Bose headphones. I've never, ever gotten anything as cool as these.
Oh, and the Sweeney Todd soundtrack.

I was pleasantly surprised to get two OBCR's from my list.
It may not seem like a big deal, but when my mom saw the list, she said "What's an OBCR?"
I didn't have very high hopes after that.
Surprisingly, she came through!

A sterling necklace and bracelet set my friend Jen had made for me. The bracelet is a cuff which reads "well behaved women seldom make history" and the pendant on the necklace reads "sweet sister... loyal friend."
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
My new Chi hair iron and hearing from my best friend from high school that I hadn't talked to in years.
norn, that Charlie Brown book seems like the perfect gift for you! what a great present :)
