Judy Davis sings AND plays the piano- someone should put her in a film where she has to do both. Either that or she should release a Fleetwood Mac tribute album. Also Cate Blanchett was spotted at an after party at a Karaoke bar in Sydney doing a pretty mean version of "The Lonely Goatheard". This is true.

Michelle Pfeiffer held her own in THE FABULOUS BAKER BOYS and she did a decent job with GREASE 2. Not a bad set of pipes on that girl and she's amazing to look at!

re: Film Actors With the Best Singing Voices

I'd like to see Mira play Ulla.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

SUSAN SARANDON did a very good job with her songs in ROCKY HORROR. Listen to her on OVER AT THE FRANKENSTEIN PLACE...

I wish there had been a karaoke scene with Goldie and Susan in The Banger Sisters.

MIRA SORVINO would have made a perfect ULLA! I think UMA THURMAN is way too skinny to be a buxom well-rounded blonde bombshell. She's not cutting it for me in the role.

What about Matt Damon? Someone told me that really was him singing "My Funny Valentine" in The Talented Mr. Ripley and I reaaally liked it.

I'd like to see if Ann Manguson could handle Norma Desmond.

Patrick Wilson is, of course, a double-threat actor/singer and he's sung/acted on both stage and screen.

I liked Toni Collette and Nia Vardolas' voices together in "Connie and Carla".

Meryl Streep has a very nice voice--I was pleasantly surprised when I saw "Postcards from the Edge".

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

David Moscow has a pretty good singing voice. He was in Newsies in case you don't know who I'm talking about. He had the beginning solo in "Seize the Day".

Michelle Pfeiffer is an awful singer who did a horrible job singing her songs in Grease 2, and butchered what she sang in Baker Boys.

If you heard her sing without knowing who she was, you wouldn't think she was good at all.

I was watching "A Knight's Tale" the other day, and Heath Ledger does a fairly good job of singing a bit of an English folksong. I'd love to hear him tackle a full song...I think he'd do quite well!

One actress I can think of is Tia Carrere, who has a wonderful singing voice. She was in Wayne's World 1 and 2, but she only sang in the first one. She was also on Relic Hunter and most recently of course in Lilo and Stitch. She actually sang on the soundtrack, or one of them, singing "Aloha Oe" very beautifully. Shortly after Wayne's World came out she released her own album which unfortunately went nowhere.

Also, Amy Jo Johnson (Power Rangers, Felicity, tons of TV movies and indie films, and most recently ABC Family's Wildfire) has a hell of a singing voice and does really good original folk/rock music.

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)
