Who would you say? The kind that don't usually perform onstage?
Putting G and D aside for minute here...
Ewan (umm...duh)
I love CZJs voice. With a passion.
Kate Winslet, love her!
There are more, I'll fetch my list.
The first person who came to mind was Hugh J. Then Daniel Davis - although Davis has only sung in one movie and he's basically a stage actor. Since there haven't been too many musical movies made in the last few years, it's a hard question to answer.
I've never heard James Earl Jones sing but oh God help me if he did!

Toni Collette comes to mind.
Erika Christensen is pretty good.

Whenever my mom's around when I listen to Moulin Rouge, she says "IS that Ewen? Someone hold me, I'm about to have a Big O!(what she refers to as an orgasim) So that basically answers your question from my moms perspective. And I totally agree.
CZJ and Matthew Morrison, and Hugh, and Babs, GENE KELLY and astaire. among others

Not really film, though she has done some, but Lauren Ambrose from Six Feet Under has an amazing jazz voice. She sang on The Issac Mizrahi Show when it was still airing, and I was floored.
OMG I agree Blair, I heard her (griefly) in Psycho Beach Party, and dam n . Also, I love MADIELINE KAHN. I love her voice passionately. "OOOOOooooh sweet mystery of life at last ive found you" ahhahaha

I agree with Lauren Ambrose. I love the first season of SFU. I would say Michael C. Hall, but he's onstage relatively frequently.

Gwyneth Paltrow. "Duets" was a horrible film, but she has a smooth and sultry voice.
Totally seconding Toni Collette. In addition to singing well, she has fantastic stage presence, something many film actors do not (but, correct me if I'm wrong, Toni was theatrically trained in Australia and did perform onstage there).

Cheno, who else was in duets? I heard they were both great singing actors, but the film itself was sub-par.

Actually James Earl Jones may have a voice that's too deep to be effective singing. I heard a radio discussion in WQXR a while back in which some authority on singing claimed that Gregg Whiteside (who was then their morning announcer) wouldn't be a good singer because his speaking voice was too deep. The logic of this was explained at the time, but it probably applies to Mr. Jones.
Oh, my memory still savors the richness of his Othello opposite Christopher Plummer's Iago!
I love James Earl Jones, and his blue eyes, gorgeous. Ever since the Lion King Ive wanted him to be on my answering machine. I wish he could do that, Id call my own house. and scare the crap out of everyone when they call.
Toni Collette
My God, her voice is amazing. In my opinion, she should've won the Tony for her bravura performance in The Wild Party five years ago. Just hearing her sing gives me chills. I have been saying for months on this site that she should play Evita, should a revival happen.

Takeshi Kitano has actually a great voice Once i heard him singing "Sailing" on Japanese TV when I was in Japan...
Wasn't that Huey Lewis who was singing with her in Duets? I didn't see the movie...
