FindingNamo will attempt to contain his contempt for ex-relevant performer Madonna to this one thread.
People who still somehow manage to overlook, well, just about everything in order to consider themselves fans of hers are reminded in the face of irrefutable evidence of her horribleness and wish to defend her that there is simply, in Hedwig's words, "No need. No need."
Chapter one: Is it human nature to not sing on key, even when you're talk singing? And what's the point in dragging out Britney if she's only going to lipsync three lines? And what's the point in giving her a microphone if she's just going to use it to cover her mouth so the audience can't tell she's lipsyncing? Oh, just answered my own question.
And two FUs from our over-muscled 50-year-old twice divorcee? Really Madonna? REALLY?
NSFWS (not safe for working stomachs)
Yeah...that was pretty awful. Britney must have been really really nervous or something. She's definitely not back to where she was before with performing live (even if lip synching). She looked a little confused and almost scared to be there. Almost a "What am I doing here?" type of expression.
I watched that and still scratch my head in wonderment. Just what is the allure?

LL, could it be that she was not really given anything to do so she literally had no idea what she was doing there?
I feel bad that Madonna is still clinging to this notion that she is passing a torch to Britney, although given how painfully far away Madonna is from the notes she's supposed to be singing, maybe they really are two of a kind?

Oh how I miss the "True Blue" days...*a forlorn sigh*

That's what I'm thinkin'. Remember, you can't fool all of the people all of the time!

Wow, I hadn't seen that high quality video--it shows really how awkward Britney was. I'm hoping it was just because she didn't really know what to do. She can definitely dance still (as has been seen in her latest dance rehearsal videos). I'm considering skipping class on December 2nd to go see her at Bryant Park...

Why can't the dancers dance and not try to pass themselves off as singers?
What IS the point? Those live sounds emanating from Madonna (there was the one live mic, the background singers AND prerecorded vocal tracks) sounded like a goat birthing kids.
I have never been a fan but that was..awful..It was, however, nice to see Britney clothed.

And her extensions washed!
Yeah she looked nice...but almost too buttoned up. Strange next to Madonna in a bikini/leotard.
Namo you're probably right. Madonna was just like come stand next to me...and if you want you can sing a little bit. Oh and funny would it be if we throw your It's Britney Bitch thing in there. It'll be so great! Ummm yeah it didn't work...

And I suppose it goes without saying not a note can be heard from the guitar Madonna's wearing? Really, Madonna, don't you feel foolish strumming along for no reason?
Haha...no kidding. I've seen several clips of her with the guitar. It's strange. And the guitar doesn't even fit with that song. I can see it for some of her other songs, but not for that one. At all.
Man, that was awful.

Yeah, pretty much. Also, is that the standard of beauty for women's thighs nowadays? Or did the camera consistently capture Madonna at truly unflattering angles?
Those thighs were pretty frightening. Taught sinews.

Mayhaps "Taught Sinews" will be the name of her next album, the first on her loss leader contract with Live Nation.
Really, just be a Squeeze fan. They are so much better.

This is the "Really, Madonna?" thread though.
Well, she liked my Dad's dogs many years ago and my Dad lived across the street from her and said she was nice. I think she moved from that apt.
She went crazy for my Father's dogs and my Dad said she was nice.

Too bad she couldn't have been nice to Queerdonna.
SHE'S NOT YOUR BITCH!!
"Really Madonna? REALLY?"
Yes.
