Well, aren't I the presumptuous one, thinking you'd done it just for me. This week's lesson: Not everything is about you, Kim. I thought you'd want to help a fellow Michigander out. re: Fiona Apple

Hehe :-P

I like your Hot Spot avatar, btw.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Has anyone listened to the streaming tracks on myspace? For those who've heard the original versions, how do you think they compare?

I like the way both the original tracks and the new versions sound. The stripped down sound of the original tracks was interesting and visceral. The new ones sound a bit more smooth and fuller, but not over produced.

I haven't listened to the whole album on myspace (just the first half or so) and I think I'll wait to hear the rest of the album. I'm glad the orchestrations for the title song were kept the same, but I missed the strings in the clip of "Not About Love" that I heard on her website.
