What was your first show, what role did you play, and how old were you?

I was in "Annie" when I was eight. I played Miss Hannigan! (I think was also the youngest kid in the show, and definitely the shortest, so that worked out... interestingly.)

It was "Oliver" and I think I was 3 or 4. My sister was in it and I hung around rehearsals and pretty much learned the words to all the songs, so they made me one of fagins boys. I got to be the top half of the dear old gent.

Practically, my first show was a small production of Peter Pan in 5th Grade. I was Nana (the dog) and a Lost Boy and a Pirate.

But I sorta always think of Howie Newsome in Our Town as my first role.

If I were a woman, I'd marry Stephen Joshua Sondheim. But then again, he's gay, so.... "They say the unexamined life is not worth living. But what if the examining becomes your life? Is that living or just procastinating?" - Carrie Bradshaw "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts...." - William Shakespeare

Cactus Pass. I played Miranda Barrington. 8th grade.
It was basically a Romeo and Juliet story set in a right wing southern town.

First show- "A Midsummernight's Dream" when I was 7. I was one of the fairy's and thought I was the coolest kid other. My twin brother was the changeling. He only did it because he got to keep the bow and arrow they used for one of his props.

First lead- Rosemary in H2$ when I was 15.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I? I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

In seventh grade, I was Bartholomewl (I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong) in There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom

"You have two kinds of shows on Broadway – revivals and the same kind of musicals over and over again, all spectacles. You get your tickets for The Lion King a year in advance, and essentially a family... pass on to their children the idea that that's what the theater is – a spectacular musical you see once a year, a stage version of a movie. It has nothing to do with theater at all. It has to do with seeing what is familiar.... I don't think the theatre will die per se, but it's never going to be what it was.... It's a tourist attraction." Stephen Sondheim

My first real show was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the kid's chorus. And my first lead was as The Princess in Menotti's "Chip and His Dog."
